Clint Dempsey will be on World Soccer Daily (Sirius) at 1:30. I believe it can also be caught from their site (never done it).

In the Net will have Burns, Bill McDermott and Andrew Hush.

They have the live stream on realplayer so you can pause it and play back/skip commercials to catch up if you want.

You can also subscribe to their podcast for free on itunes.

Since I'm plugging them, their tv show is on FSC on tuesday nights. It's pretty much the same as the radio show now. FFF got a raw deal being on at 11:00 pm on the east coast last year, so they switched to tuesdays.

I'm on, they're talking about germany right now.

-Talked about the goal

-Clint mentioned the 4-5-1 was new to the team.

-US maybe should have played better teams leading up.

No kidding?

Hell, he could probably say that about his club team too. :p

Clint's saying he wants to go to europe. It doesn't matter where, as long as he goes to a place where he has to fight to get a spot on the field.

Clint's been using a lot of the "highest level" and "proving himself against better competition" type phrases. The hosts must love that.

Commercial break.

Listening too. Clint says about wanting to play in Europe: "If I stay here I'm just going to get content. I want to go to a team where I have to fight for a spot, and having to fight to get time on the field. Me being a competitor I always want to be around that kind of atmosphere, I don't want to ever feel like I'm complacent or content."

Main difference- Revs should play some of those games at home, US should play them away!! :p

Nick's dumbest question yet: "How overinflated do you think MLS thinks of itself?"

Chowda
29 Aug 2006, 01:51 PM
Clint says that MLS wants to get what he's worth. He points out the hypocracy of teams offering 10X what he makes here. Also, MLS never actually gave teams a valuation on him.

He also said MLS wants to re-sign him, but he told them flat out he won't re-sign.

He said he wouldn't hold any grudges if they let him leave after the season (i.e. come back after he goesto europe). However, if they don't...

Sounds like a subtle jab at donovan who claimed he(donovan)played much better "where he is comfortable"

Steve asks Clint to call out Landy. He did the same with Convey last week.:)

Clint says it's all relative, but it's time for someone else to step up. Nice.

Oooh. Revs question from Nick about our poor form.

Clint mentions early season injuries and Twellman's snub. He also mentions that it doesn't really matter until the end of the season.

Clint on the Revs: Lots of upheaval early in the season threw the team off. "Way the league is, the end is what matters." Sounds like he's giving Nick and Stephen more fuel for the "make the season matter" argument.

Steve asks Clint to call out Landy. It sounds like he just did:
