Schalke signed the third new player for the next season. 20 year old midfield allrounder Hamit Altintop from D3 top team SG Wattenscheid 09 gave his signature under a contract until 2007. The transfer sum is not told to the public. Almost the whole league including Bayern and Dortmund wanted to have Hamit and his twin brother Halil (forward), but at least Hamit is out of the race.
Previously Schalke signed Simon Cziommer (Twente Enschede, central mid) and Jochen Seitz (Stuttgart, left mid) as free transfers.
