My kid brother is a die-hard Liverpool fan and has recently relocated to San Francisco. He's obviously new to the area and was wondering about:

Best pubs to congregate for matches with other fans?

Recreational leagues/teams to play in with other Reds?

Local supporters groups, etc?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated by him and his Gooner-loving brother.

Thanks guys.

The Mad Dog is definitely where to go to watch. Once we get through this annoying stretch where every weekend game starts at 4:45AM, we should get the Bay Area crew together to watch a game.

Sorry for the delay.

Yea, the Mad Dog In The Fog (Haight @ Fillmore) is the place to go, no doubt. The guy also owns the Kezar Pub, which is just up at the end of Haight St, across from Golden Gate park. He uses both pubs to show games, but the Mad Dog is the HQ. Their football hotline message that says what's coming up is 415-442-7994.

I don't know of any rec leagues or official supporters clubs here.
