Yea I don't think Crouch and Kuyt would work as well although that can certainly be worked at.

That isn't my reasoning. I think Aurelio and Bellamy may be spared from the Derby for a)Aurelio isn't ready for the physical intensity and b) Bellamy is card prone [Chelsea is the next fixture]

Riise [even if fit] and Crouch may well be rested for the coming test with Chelsea.

b) Bellamy is card prone

As opposed to SG last year!!!

I think its time for GOD to get a start next to Kuyt or Crouch, with the one left out of those two on the bench.

The rest pick themselves with the injuries we've got.

I like Liverbirds line up, as i'd really like to see how Kuyt and Crouch play together.

Probably a stupid question, but whats the "R" mean in the titles of the game threads?

Means a result is going to be posted in the thread. So people know if they are taping the match not to click on the thread and see the result.

For example, instead of LIVERPOOL 5-1 EVERTON being the thread title, it is Liverpool vs. Everton [R] so people dont see the result unless they want to.

I totally agree, Aurelio should not start this game, he needs more games to adapt to the league's pace and physical aspect.

Bellamy might have a temper and it could blow up in our faces but the same could be said for everyone on the team in a derby. Besides, he brings such passion and threat into a game where it will be needed if we're going to g et 3 points, they're in prety good form so far this season.

I suppose that is fair. I would just rather start him versus Chelsea. Plus with all things usually being equal in a derby, Fowler should be a safe bet to start... he knows what it means to the club and its fans.

When I relate Fowler to Everton, this is my fond memory:

God snorting on the base-line :D

This is a BIG game (not that it usually isnt of course). But this will determine whether we're pretenders or contenders. Nothing less than a win.

Those 3 points are needed before we go to Chelsea.

I really hope Sissoko is back. We need him for an away game like this.

Fowler must start. No questions. I don't trust Bellamy's temper in this fixture just yet, but Kuyt has the pace to keep up.

Reina
Finnan - Hyypia - Agger - Warnock/Riise
Pennant - SG - Alonso - Gonzalez
Fowler - Kuyt

A couple of Derby moments from Little Luis...

I love how Pepe runs all the way to the other end to celebrate on the second one. And I still laugh when I think of the whole crowd chanting "we've only got 10 men" a couple of minutes later.
