Hey guys, I have Berbatov on my fantasy team so I was wondering if any of you knew the extent of his ankle injury, and if he will start this weekend? Let me know if you get a chance. Thanks for your help guys!

I think he will play, you always hear about players with knocks and are doubts but they usually play.

Thanks for your help man! I have really loved watching Tottenham play over the last year or so, they are such an exciting team to watch with great, young players. I just feel for a guy like Defoe who just can't break into that starting lineup! Man that guy must feel snake bit. Oh well, I hope Berbatov comes through for me this week!

I read unofficially earlier that both Berbatov and Jenas are fine for tomorrow.
Knocks when games are close together is normal, it's very rare that a player is 100% because of this. Nothing to worry about really.

I'd be shocked if Berbatov didn't play. I have some theories on some of the injury stuff. When a new potential-star player enters the league and does well, 'injuries' help focus the ref's attention on that player and sometimes create a bit of sympathy for them. Refs seem to give diferential treatment to 'star' players, so unknown quantities that make a big initial splash, like Berbatov, can sometimes establish a reputation as a star quickly and get a few calls.
Also, Berbatov is our only real center forward on the roster, sad but true. Without him, much of our offense is stifled because the opposition defense is free to clamp down on the speedier folks and worry little about crosses.
So, if he had a real injury, I suspect it would have received a much more grave review in the press I'd think.

per the official website
Martin Jol has positive news on Dimitar Berbatov and Jermaine Jenas and both are in the squad preparing for Everton on Saturday.
The goalscorers against Sheffield United both picked up knocks in the 2-0 win at the Lane on Tuesday night - Dimitar on his ankle, JJ on his toe.
Martin reported: "Dimitar is doing okay. He trained with us today, so he should be fine. Jermaine Jenas didn't train today but I think he will be fine tomorrow."
Ledley King is the only other player to miss out through injury as he recovers from his knee problem.
