"In a move that will leave Africa's football fraternity dumbfounded, Liberia has withdrawn from all international competitions for a five-year period."

The move was made because the government doesn't have the funding..... partly because of the ongoing rebel war.

I wonder if they will really sit out for five years? :confused:

Liberian national team might be saved...

"The Liberian FA has rejected the Sports Ministry's decision to withdraw the national team, the Lone Star, from all international competition for a five-year period."

Liberia is back!
