Hows he doing for your guys? Being a Lazio fan just wondered how he's settled into the mexican game two years on.
Is it true he is co-owned by us still?

There are two tournaments a season in Mexico (Apertura and Clausura)
First torneo the team was outright horrible. Especially for a team as big as America. Didn't make the Liguilla (playoffs) bad season. Lopez scored some goals here or there but did not make an impact.
Second torneo America won the title. While only losing one game the whole season. Piojo played an important role in the championship season. He made a great trio with our other strikers Cuahtemoc Blanco and Kleber. He scored 2 goals in the final.
Third torneo America had an incredible 32 game unbeaten streak going since the second torneo. Ended up superlider (First place before playoffs). The team seemed to be rolling. And Piojo was doing just as good as the past torneo. But they were upset in the first round on the playoffs. And they lost in the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana to Velez Sarsfield. Piojo played average, the team faded at the end, and so did he.
Fourth Torneo America just never got into rhythym and the team never really got it going offensively. Piojo had a subpar torneo which was more like the first torneo of his in Mexico. Luckily America was able to win the Concacaf Championship and will be in Japan this come December.
As far as Piojo still being owned by Lazio. I could have sworn that if he was owned by a European club it would have been Valencia.
I could be wrong though.

Thanks for the reply:). (I was going off a game called fm 2006. It has Lopez still down as a Lazio player just out on loan at America).
Do any of you think we could see Lopez back in europe one day. Or does he appear settled and ready to end his career at Club America?

I think he is too old to head off to Europe again. I also doubt that he would end his career at America.
Most famous Argentinian players end up playing back in Argentina for the team of their youth.

Piojo was wanted in Europe at the end of last year but he stayed. I think he will stay in Mexico at least another year before heading back to Argentina.
