Not at the level to compete with Inter or Bayern. Of course anything can happeon, but Bayern are undoubtly the favorites to advance in this group.

Inter will be favourites to advance I think, they've strengthened this year by signing Ibrahimovic, Grosso, Vieira, Crespo, Oliver Dacourt, Maxwell and a few other good players. Some of these guys were in great form at the World Cup and are at their peak of their careers.

I'm just happy I can see Rafa, Salcido and Kikin playing against English clubs :D

Word.. There is a BIG posibility IMO that either one of Barca or Chelsea is eliminated by Werder Bremen. Klose is lethal in the air and showed in the World Cup he could create his own goals and even set up combined with Diegos freestyle attack and a rock solid defense with Mertesacker and Wome makes them a real candidate to take either 1st or 2nd.

i agree with inter being favorites. sporting doesn't impress me much, and i think bayern will come in second.

milan has the easiest group.

looks like uefa likes the barca/chelsea pairing.

klose is highly underestimated.

25 goals and 16 assists in 26 games. he is not the one dimensional striker seen in 2002.

werder has a shot, but i think they'll victim to an unlucky draw.

Chelsea is looking very good, and has better subs than any other team in their group. If Bremen decides to go all-in in the CL and play reserves in the Bundesliga tourney, I'd be worried about Barcelona.

Barcelona
Chelsea
Bremen
Levski

barca should top the group. bremen will challenge chelski for second place but will fall short.

Group B:

Internazionale
Bayern
Sporting
Spartak Moscu

inter and bayern should qualify as first and second with little trouble.

Group C:

Liverpool
PSV
Bordeaux

liverpool should top this group. then, it will be a battle for second place between psv and bordeaux. i dont really know how galatasaray is doing these days but it wont be easy getting out of 'hell' alive.

Manchester United
Benfica
Celtic
Kobenhavn

Ups, i just saw that i typed Convinacion, sorry it was combinacion :o

And just to not waste a post i will give my prediction.

Group A.

Barca should top the group but with more difficulty than last year, winning in Stamford Bridge and in Weserstadion wont be easy. Currently i dont see Chelsea that strong, they already lost in the premiership against Middlesbrough, so i thinkl Bremen could make it, if the do they will have to be considered one of the tops guns of Europe :p . I dont see a chance for Levski Sofia, they eliminated Chievo Verona of Italy, but i doubt the could pose problems to the other teams.

Group B

Inter has bought many good players, but in recent times they always do $hit . Bayern is the other big force, if they manage to get a tie in Italy and not ******** up against the other teams, they will surely pass as first of group. Sportng Lisboa is an underated team, finished last season above Benfica and with perfect mark now in preseason, still i dont see them in the other stage. Spartak will be a tough team to beat in Moscow by the other three groups, but outside moscow their level of play goes down.

Group C

A tough Group, I cant see any team with a great advantage over the other. On the paper, Liverpool should be the first of group , but im not sure it they will. I dont see the strong PSV that dominated the dutch league, so im not sure if they will qualify. Bordeoux has bought many good players, including Micoud from Bremen, they will be a tough opponent. Galatasaray is also a strong team, i cant see any of the other three teams beating them in Turkey but i do see Gala taking some points away, still i cant predict if they will qualify. Its a close group to call.

Group D

Valencia should end in first place of this group having some problems. Roma is not that strong, and im confinden Olympiakos could be a contender here. Shakhtar is the current Ukrainian league, and as we have seen the Ukranian league level has been incresing taking account that they will have two teams in the CL and many other on the UEFA Cup. So at the end i see Valencia as first and a deadly competition between Olympiakos, Roman and Shakhtar for the second place.

Group E

On the paper, right now RM and OM should be the ones advancing, But Steaua and Dinamo Kiev are two of the powerhouses of the eastern tems. So if Real Madrid keeps playing so bad the will have problems. Olympique Lyon is still a solid team, they always sell their best players but somehow manage to retein the level so i do see OL advancing to the next stage. Steaua has already won the CL against Barcelona, they have a recognized name in the football history, and wont be an easy team at all. Dinamo Kiev, same , already eliminated a team like Fenerbahce, and has posed problems many times to Real Madrid before. For this group i can only see a OL classified.

Group F

MancHester Untd is the big gun here , still if they play like they did last season, the will be last of group, But on paper, they should end as first of group.. Benfica and Celtic should fight for the second spot, not sure who will win, no team has the edge here. FC Kovenhavn is a unknown team for me, they eliminated Ajax in Amsterdam, so they could be the surprise of the tournament again.

Group G

Arsenal has the " obligation" of classify as first of group seeing what they did last time, i dont know if they will be able to live up with the expectations. They have only bought a class player, Rosicky, But on talks of selling other good players.

Porto as the reigning champions of the portuguese league shall be strong, with the brazilian Andersson as their main gun. CSKA Moscow in home will be nearly unbeatable, and as visitors they will do ok too, they won their UEFA Cuo beating Sporting Lisboa in their own ground. Hamburg , a former champion of the CL is returning to it, if they manage to get a good replacement of Bholarouz and also a good striker, im sure they will be a nice surprise of this CL, Kompany and Van Der Vaart are their top players, and what a players.

Group H

Milan should win this group without trouble. The other teams should fight for the second spot. I can see AEK with a little advantage over the others, they had a fantastic preseason, and bought many good players.

my prediction :

group a :

i think chelsea and barcelona. even if chelsea doens't look as strong, mourinho will find a way. bremen will fall victim to an unlucky draw. levski sofia will be glad they got to play three of the best teams in europe and will play trying not to embarass themselves.

group b

inter does well in group stages, and bayern is also pretty good. sporting did well in their domestic league, but i don't see them finishing above bayern or inter.

group c

all liverpool. i'm hoping psv passes in second, but ronald koeman is unproven at the moment. i predict psv goes through.

group d

valencia goes through, and roma will surprise if they maintain their form from late last year. neither olimpiacos or shaktar look that strong, so it should be valencia and roma

group e

lyon has been too strong. last year lyon and real madrid went 1-2. i think the same will happen this year. steaua was lucky to make it out of the mess of teams who were in the title hunt. even if dynamo and steaua are eastern european powerhouses, eastern european soccer is not on par to western european soccer, and dynamo is not the same dynamo that tore through everyone with shevchenko.

group f

man u all the way. i think benfica second. celtic has been less than stellar in the CL. Kobenhavn eliminated an ajax that has been strugglign lately.

group g

i see arsenal and club hamburgesa. but you must be jokign about anderson being porto's top gun. he's only had nine appearances.

group h

milan and lille. anderlecht has finished in last place the past few times. they also had an eleven game losing streak until kompany decided to score on betis and save some face.
