A new take on Loco's journey. Turns out he likes what he's doing in MLS (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/luis_bueno/08/22/garcia.chivas/index.html). New day, new thought process.

Btw, I could not find this dude's thread so I started a new one. If there happens to be an old one going, please merge. Unity. Doo it.

Love,

Boppero.

This is the Mexican League forum, so anyone not playing in it is playing abroad.

That's my opinion. I might be wrong. I'd be fine with that. I am human after all.

B-bop has a point. Playing abroad isn't exclusively for players playing across the atlantic is it? Be that the case, I shall start looking for players playing in other leagues here in the Western Hemisphere.

Of course he plays abroad. There's no question.

Loco should never have gone to the MLS though. He spent a whole year adapting and did nothing. Had he stayed who knows, perhaps he would have led us to WC glory (cuartos de final).

The story with Atlas was kinda complicated though, and I am not really sure why he chose Chivas USA.

cause chivas wanted him and atlas didnt want to let him go to chivas or something like that... so then america came around and wanted to buy him or something like that and he said NO because he wasnt gonna play so he decided to go to the mls.. i think thats correct right...

In the end what does that accomplish? Donovan is also a top player from MLS, yet he made zero impact for USA. Loco needs to move fast to another league. Aaron Galindo type move might be a good idea for this dude.

think about it this way, while most of mexico's best players will be at Copa America, he will play the gold cup again.:D

Not a lot, but a decent amount of MLSers have made their way in Europe. Marcus Hannemann (sp?) and Bobby Convey ply their trade at Reading in the EPL. Tim Howard starts for Everton (loan) and Brian McBride at Fulham are former MLSers as well. All of these guys have performed decently. In my mind there is no reason why Loco Garcia can't do as well if he ever gets the chance. I certainly think he is more talented than the players that I mentioned here. Here's hoping that he does. That is all.
