No DK viewing of this match, as I feared. Game listing was taken off of both mlsnet.com and directv sports viewing guide.

Only on HDNet I'm afraid.

Please add this post to the pregame thread once it has been started please.

This match is listed as an "HDnet Exclusive" on their web site. Which means no DK or MLSLIVE.tv for this match. It will also not be available "ON DEMAND" through the MLSLIVE.tv subscription. We will be lucky to get a small highlight package.

Don't laugh. I've been waiting for the prices of recorders to drop to a semi-reasonable level. As soon as they do, I'll preserve stuff in all its HD glory.

I agree. And just to clarify, I'm not upset that HDnet has exclusive rights to this or any other match. I don't have a problem with that. I was simply passing along the information. And will consider myself lucky to get whatever highlight package is made available.

We're getting the game on an over the air spanish channel here in L.A. so it surprises me that it isn't on DK. You guys should call MLS and double check on this. Maybe they can atleast stream a spanish feed, if not go to the game!!!

That channel will probably make more sense to us English only folks than listening to Balboa anyways. I was really liking John Doyle's low key color commentary earlier this year when Celo was in Germany. He just liked the games he did.

KWHY channel 22 and It's owned by Telemundo. They've show games before and they HAVE been streamed online with there commentary so that's why it's kinda odd this time. They only show Galaxy games, Azteca shows Chivas USA games in spanish.

Unless KWHY here in Los Angeles gets the HDNET feed, I am sure the game will be available on Mlsnet.com

just to clarify, I'm not upset that HDnet has exclusive rights to this or any other match.
And just to clarify... I am.

MLSNet and Direct Kick promise DK subscribers that the package offered through DISH and In-Demand, which is what I have, "includes all regional broadcasts--regardless of the originating network." This game is being broadcast on an L.A. regional channel, KWHY

The DK guidelines are right here.
http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/mls/schedule/2006/direct_kick/

They are very clear in showing that In-Demand and DISH customers get all matches on any channels, while DirecTV customers get a more limited package of "all regional broadcasts on major networks--e.g. MSG, Comcast, FSN"

I'm thinking that since MLS/DK marketed the package this year, HDNet asked them to stop showing, on DK, the HDNet matches that are also shown on regional broadcasts. Regardless, this is the 2nd straight week that DK has scratched from its schedule a regional telecast that HDNEt also has.

Shenanigans.

KWHY looks to be a local Over-The-Air station, a Telemundo affiliate in LA.

It is not a regional cable sports channel.

i don't know if they'll carry this game, or how they'll get a feed. i doubt they're producing their own feed. don't know if they'll down-convert the HDnet feed by permission and just add some studio commenators or what. i don't know what an "HDnet exclusive" is, if the game is also carried on a local LA Telemundo OTA station.

The location in your profiles says "D.C."

Why not just go to the game?

perhaps the "HDnet exclusive" moniker means that KWHY feed can't be streamed as HDnet wants people to complain to their cable/satellite provider to get HDnet added to their line-up.

instead, people get upset at MLS for no DK or mlslive.tv presentation of the match.
