I would go for the same team that started against Sheffield United.
------Robbo
Lee-Dawson-Davenport-BAE
Lennon-Jenas-Tainio-Davids
-----Keane-Berbatov

I'd be happy with that, I'd also be happy with Zokora in for Davids in the center and Tainio out left. Either way it should be enough to get the 3 pts.

....wasn't Davids in the middle last night? didn't get to see the game, or did TT and he swap roles? anyways I feel with TT on the left he would not leave the gaps for when BAE gets into advance positions that Davids so often does. davids is more confident in the middle, and positionally does better there. However I've read that at times in the second half neither he nor Jenas plugged the gaps in the center. Hope Jenas builds on a good outing and continues with that rather than his disinterested display against Bolton. Keane and Berbatov seem to have already struck up and understanding which is great to see.
It sounds like Jols rollicking of JJ and Lennon has done the job. Lennon from what I read was scary for Sheff Utd, did he also swap wings again? as I read he was running down the left side.
I have a feeling Zokora however will start ahead of Davids, 3 games in the space of 7 days is tough on the pitbull. Zokora has played a game, sat on the bench for about 70 minutes to watch a PL game, I think he will go on from here and will prove why we brought him in.

I agree with just about everything you said Oralndo, but just wanted to underscore this. Given the quality of our squad, the depth of our midfield, and the difficulty keeping all the egos happy, it makes the most sense to juggle the lineup some when we have more than 1 game a week. I'd expect to see more of Defoe against Everton too.
Here's hoping our back line looks better than against Bolton.

Yeah Davids was in the middle with tainio on the left. I can only really remember one occasion where he left BAE 2 on 1 in the first half (BAE still came out on top though!). Davids played very well in the centre - especially in the second half when we began to relax, and he drove us on almost single-handedly at times. JJ played well too - got from box-to-box and used his speed well too.
Lennon played on the right for most of the match but moved to the left when Zokora came on and partnered davids in the middle (with JJ moving to the right). And he was just as unplayable there too!
As for this weekend - I would like to see us start with the same midfield that ended the game against united, as davids and Zokora looked really good together. Plus, it will give tainio a break - we could do without him getting injured again.
Prediction: 2-2. although we have a great record against everton I can see our defence really struggling against beattie and johnson.

I agree with the general gist of what you're saying, i.e. that Zokora will slowly replace Davids in the starting line-up and will sooner rather than later repay the confidence we have in him.
But I have a feeling that Davids will start again against Everton. Jol knows that the pitbull begins seasons strongly, before fading about half way through. It's like his mind forces his body to act 5 years younger than it is, but the body just gives up after a few months. Jol will want to get the best out of Davids while he still can, and will let Zokora ease into things. Tainio will also start - until he gets injured, which cannot be more than a few games away.

Lennon did indeed switch to the left - for most of the second half. And performed quite well there. I can't wait for the day when we can field Lennon on the left and Routledge on the right. My only bone to pick with Jol was that he did not give Routledge a chance when we were 2-0 up against Utd. If need be, he should have taken off Lennon and given Wayne a run out. We'll need him soon enough.

...cheers MJ and SF, appreciate the explanations of Tuesday's game.
I really am pissed off that setanta has brought the rights to some of the PL games, it was going oh so nicely with FSC. The wife (it seems she wears the pants) said a no go to Dish Network, she just dosen't understand.

Friendly banter is one thing, but starting a match thread is something else.

...yeah I thought it was cheeky, however we did win, and none of us started it because Colm was out. Personally I think BiggSkizz is a closet Yiddo and has posted in a respectful manner.

He's alright, Posh. If there was anything wrong with what he did I would've locked it and started the game thread myself.
