I was chatting to one the other day and he said that he goes about it thus.
Goalkeepers. How many other teams have better ?
Back four. He uses 6 players here, as he said it's strength in depth that counts. Anyway, Ditto above. How many PL teams have better.
Midfield, 6 players.
Strikers, 4 players.
Manager and assistant.
He said that, in any position, he couldn't find more than 4 in the PL, that he thought would be an improvement.
He then gives them points........and guess what? Even to his amazement, We came out 3rd best in the PL.
His conclusion? Hammers are the dark horses and worth a little flutter, at good odds, for a CL place.
He is not a West Ham fan and is a Norwegian TV presenter. :)
