Not a long term solution, but a could be a very nice short term move. Would he sign for Reading money, though?

Sky lists it as done deal, meaning the trial, I assume.

Hmmmmm...... so what situation does this put on Graeme Murty's position? Or is it perhaps that Coppel will use Cruz as a right mid / an utility player on the right flanks.

At this point anyone you can bring in at "Reading money" is just cover until an injury or until someone proves they are not good enough for this level.

We'll see how they look on Wednesday, because if they can keep up that level of performance Glen Little isn't even going to be seeing the starting 11.

Yeah, but this guy can play. Nice record with villa, at least. What I wonder about is that when O'Leary didn't re-sign him it was with the words, I'd really like to sign him again, but I don't have enough money here...Where was he headed, villareal? What is up here?

Cruz is signed, but he won't be ready for Wigan on Saturday.

Cruz if I remember correctly plays on the right side, and is more of an attacking defender (suits Reading style of play just fine) I like this signing especially on a free, but I wonder when he will play unless there is an injury to two of the Murty/Seol/Little trio.

Obviously what we really need is to get in is a central defender, who can provide cover for the two brilliant partners who somehow made it through all of last season without going down for an extended period of time. Reports say that Brynjar was a little off the pace against Villa, and we will see about Sodje soon enough. I am a bit worried about Sonko as well, having only seen the Boro match he concerned me when the ball was played in on the ground, the sending off last match (again I havent seen it) only compounding these worries.

I don't mean to sound like a pessimist, I think this team stays up, and even if they don't if they play the kind of attacking football they have been up to now it will be a fun year.
