I've been watching some of the wc2006 games involving Ghana. interestingly the coverage keeps displaying his name as Pantsil, yet on the back of his Ghana shirt it reads Paintsil.

Now yesterday I noticed the line-up had him as Paintsil, but on the back of his jersey it read Pantsil. I thought I recall reading where he said that his name was Paintsil and he didn't know where the Pantsil thing started.

Now seeing yesterday's game, did the club send him out with the wrong spelling on his shirt?

Interested to see what it reads on Tues, as I think he's going to start fairly regularly now in the league games.

Yeah, the club screwed up his name on his shirts and contrcat. I would have thought they would have sorted it out before the game.

He lookeed good going forward yesterday, but lets see what he does when he actually has to defend somebody.

Also when he played in Israel know one really knew exactly how to spell his name. I've seen,

Panstil
Painstil
Penstil...etc..

but i thought he played very well in the second half

According to Reuters (fairly reliable source) his name is Paintsil.

It is Paintsil, and the cub are morons for screwing it up. But without that mess we would not have "Johnny Pants!" and so he is forever embedded in UP folklaw

Yes, it's definitely Paintsil. There's been a few articles on it including this one on KUMB:

If his name is spelled wrong on the contract, doesnt that make it invalid?

Not if he signed it Stomps. Clerical error. Not a problem and near enough to satisfy any court I'd have thought.

Glad you enjoyed the Dylan concert, by the way. I won't say I told you so.... Yes I will. lol. :)
