Very true, but it won't come easily. Stuttgart is another place we just haven't been able to take care of business at in recent memory.

Yeah not only will Vfb have summoned some confidence from their trip to Bielefeld yesterday, but I can't remember the last time we even scored at the Gottlieb-Daimler, much less won. That said, despite the desperately disappointing results of the past fortnight, it still feels as though we're just a goal or two away from getting our attack in order. God knows we've created some more than useful chances on both matchdays thus far. As for the defence...is Wörns back next week?

I agree with all you said there.
And yes, thankfully, Christian Woerns is back next week after a two match too long suspension.......

Amedick injured one of his Achilles' tendons and will be out for 4 weeks. As Metzelder won't make the Stuttgart match, it seems that Brzenska and Wörns will make up our central defence.

We've just got some sick luck going right now, don't we? :(

Ha, good for you :)
anyway, this should be a really interesting game. anyone can win. If Dortmund show better finishing than in their first two matches they could well end up winning. We looked a lot better in our last match away to Bielefeld and that gives some optimisim and suggests we could beat you if we play at that level again. This game will determine for both sides whether the start of the season has failed or not. whichever team loses will be faced with a lot of catch up after that : dortmund would have one points from 3 games whereas if we lose we would have 3 points from 3 games and on top of that we're travelling to Bremen the week afterwards. I hope VfB can continue their good form against Dortmund(when did you last score on us?! It's been atleast 2 and a half years now...) and get the three points, though my prediction is a draw.

I can't predict anything yet. Hell, I don't want to anyhow because my predictions have SUCKED this season.
I was impressed that your guys got the three points in Bielefeld being down two men.
Hell, we couldn't score there either last season. But, I also have the feeling that both Frei and Valdez just need one........ :)

What do you think is not working for Jon Dahl? Is it him or is it the coach?

according to my sources, BvM will be inserting Ebi into starting XI - really soon
Valdez needs to grab some pine - and be solely used as a sub...
Frei will get going with a goal - but our MF needs to wake up....
- not sure why footyfan was so hung up on the tremendous improvement BVB made this season - losing Rosicky hurt badly - Pienaar is half the player Rosicky is...
Kruska and Brzenska are absolute turds....not buying replacements for those two is not going to get us 5th spot in BL...

Hahaha!! If BvM starts Ebi in the next match then he has completely lost it. We should be looking for a replacement ASAP is this happens. Valdez has been very active in both games... he has created decent chances for himself and will get a goal very soon. First game Kahn was very good, second game he hit the inside of the post and also scored... but was offside. This time I hope he can score. I have not really been disappointed by Valdez so far... he has been one of the postives.
Pienaar improved in the second game and played a few great balls. Once pienaar settles in some more.. i dont expect him to be any worse than rosicky was for us. I think he will help us just as much as rosicky.. just in a few different ways.
Agreed on Brezenska being a turd.. but not 100% sure on kruska just yet.
Also, if you are gonna give shit to Valdez, then you better give even MORE shit to frei. He has done less for the team so far than valdez.

I've just chosen to ignore that guy. It's apparent he hasn't seen shit and is just spewing bullshit based on match results and not what's actually happening in the matches.
Had he seen the matches, he'd know that Ebi Smolarek is closer to being sold (If BVB can find any SUCKERS to buy his sorry, sitter-missing ass) than he is to the starting 11.
He'd also know that Pienaar has created more goal chances in two matches than Tomas Rosicky created in any two matches last season.
I spew out of frustration at times and you've all seen it.
But my rants are at least based on f#cking reality........

It won't happen. That guy was doing his best Jim Carrey "Talking Through His Ass" impression.

Valdez has been our best striker so far. It's Frei's finishing I've been disappointed in so far, but I know his goals will come too.
I'd say I've been disappointed in Smolarek, but after his f#cking shit second half of last season and near-useless World Cup, I expected him to pick up where he left off missing sitters. And he has done just that.
However, I do have to say that while I'm happy we got Delron Buckley's salary off the books for this season, I almost wished we'd kept him around to substitute for Frei instead of Smolarek or the now injured again Amoah.
I'd say Smolarek's "Cinderella Ride" is now over and we're seeing exactly why he couldn't get a game at Feyenoord. I just hope Smolarek discovers that glass slipper once again or we at least sell him for a bit of cash.
Pienaar improved in the second game and played a few great balls. Once pienaar settles in some more.. i dont expect him to be any worse than rosicky was for us. I think he will help us just as much as rosicky.. just in a few different ways.
Pienaar has already created more chances for the strikers in two matches than I saw Tomas Rosicky set up for the strikers in any two matches last season.
Pienaar will be just fine.
Agreed on Brezenska being a turd.. but not 100% sure on kruska just yet.
I called Brzenska "crap" the other day, but he's not quite that. I think he's overrated for sure, but he's not "crap" or even a "turd". Just seriously overrated. That's not his fault.
Kruska is also overrated by the club itself in my opinion. I think the club put way too much stock in Kruska's role in how they beat up on amateurs in the pre-season.
Also, if you are gonna give shit to Valdez, then you better give even MORE shit to frei. He has done less for the team so far than valdez.
Frei has done everything we expected him to do except the most important thing. Finish. And that will come.
I think ol' boy shouldn't be giving shit to anyone. Not if he's doing so just to try to make his sorry ass guy (Smolarek) look better.
If Smolarek wants to play all he has to do is prove he can finish again. BvM is giving him every opportunity because Smolarek is one of BvM's guys.
The problem is, Smolarek can't get the f#cking job done. And I expect Valdez and Frei to get it together before Smolarek ever will.
Valdez and Frei are truly battling a small slump. We are fairly sure they will hit scoring form.
The difference between them and Smolarek?
Smolarek doesn't seem to be merely "in a slump".
It seems Smolarek has come back to earth.
In other words, Smolarek reverted back to who he truly is.
I was wondering why Feyenoord took such little money for him when they knew how badly BVB wanted him.
Now I know why........

I don't wanna make a big rant since this is the Dortmund forum, not the VfB thread, but to be honest i really don't know. Last season he started very well for us, oddly enough, after being sent off against Dortmund and banned for three games he was never the same for the rest of the season. He didn't get along with Trap. and then when Veh came he often played JDT in the wrong position. Tomasson said he needed a creator to be bought so that his style of play can be suited. They bought farnerud, and Da Silva can also play there - so he should be more successful this season. unfortunately though, i don't see that so far...

First of all - I have seen both games this season, including the preseason one against the Spurs....
Second - why are you riding Ebi so much?....did he insult your sister or something....btw....during his time at Feyenoord....he sat on the pine mainly because of an injury that sidelined him for nearly 2 years.....check your facts chachi
Third - Posting long and profanity laced posts does not make you more passionate or right....
