Don't want to bash on Weidenfeller as he was brilliant but compared to Wiese against Schlacke he had some balls to clear that were more or less not very well placed (two headers by Cacau). On the other hand Wiese had more really tough saves.

At all IMHO Weidenfeller is of course the much better keeper.

That first one from Cacau was pretty darned well-placed IMHO. I think Wiese got the benefit of the doubt because his great match (And it was a great "effin'" match by him!) was against Schalke and not Stuttgart.....

I could have picked either one of them, but of course, I'm biased toward Weidenfeller.

And I noticed before this season and since it started, Wiese has been getting all the press.

(Going off-topic now!)

On another note, Gerald Ehrmann has to be a proud man. He's the 1. FC Kaiserslautern goalkeeping coach who produced both of these kids. Well, Wiese was "decent" when he got to FCK, but Ehrmann turned him into the star he is now.

Same with Weidenfeller.

And FCK has another outstanding young keeper coming up. Florian (I think that is his first name) Fromlowitz.

Why this guy isn't the national goalkeeping coach, I don't know.

He even turned garbage-ass Andreas Reinke into a damned good keeper!! :D
