I know I'm going to get some stick for this but..

I'm a Leicester City fan who used to travel to every home game and some away games.

After we moved to the new stadium (I refuse to mention the name of it) the atmosphere became sooo bad I almost forgot I was at a football match. I now go to away games where the atmosphere is much better (for leicester fans at least).

I'm getting disallusioned about the corporate way the football is heading in this country it seems the working class fans are or have been priced out the game and the clubs want to attract wealthy fans and don't care about atmosphere's at grounds in fact do everything in their power to neutralise it.

This is even more frustrating when you see all other countries stadiums going out of there way to accomodate fans who want to make a good atmosphere by allowing banners, flags, flares, safe stading areas and very cheap tickets.

Now FC united who broke away from supporting Man Utd not just because of the takeover but for the reasons I've stated. I recently searched the internet to see how they were progressing, thinking that maybe nothing actually happend. But to my amazement they have created a club who play at Bury FC for their home games and have bulilt a infrastructure that could make them a very sucessfull non league side, not only that but regually attract over 3,000 fans which is amazing when you think they are only in a county leagues, in fact I believe they attracted 6,000 for their final home game which is mind blowing.

I decided to go and even though the crowd was much smaller than I was used to the atmosphere was ten times better it truely was like watching a game 20 years ago.

They recently went to play st helens town who's average attendance was around 60, over 1,700 fans attended the match. bringing in huge amount of money for such a small club.

Yes this might not last (but it seems to be growing), and I feel the more fans who like me are getting dissalussioned with watching football in quiet bland stadiums being told off for standing up and supporting your team, that the only way forward is to support teams like FC United who were created by fans for fans.

BTW I'm not saying you shouldn't support your team anymore I'll be a Leicester fan till I die but I go to games to support my team with passion and noise, its rare you can do that nowadays.

So for a real football experiance please try FC United, don't be put off by the Man Utd connection these are real fans who just want to experiance the true saturday football experiance.

I don't live in England but I hear that complaint a lot, lately for Arsenal fans who are hating life at their new Emirates Stadium.

FC United may be the future but I'm not sure it's the best option. I feel that the disenfranchised Manu fans should have supported another local lower-league club rather than creating yet another.

But they probably thoughtif they vreated the team they would have more say in how the club was run. Thats kinda the whole point.

Why did you go to a FC United game? There must be dozens of small clubs in the Leicester area that could use your support to instead of that lot.

I lived in Aylesbury for a while several years ago and with a pretty open mind, I went to see the local team play (I think they are one or two levels below the Conference). The atmosphere wasn't bad, but in all honesty, I found the on-field action rather frustrating to watch and there is no way I could do that week in and week out.

Theres local sides but don't get any fans to attract an atmosphere.

This is an interesting point but maybe FC United isn't the type of team we want in the future. A team made by fans who want to have a team by fans for fans is different than a rebelling team.

Maybe there would be if you went to that game instead of the FC Moaning Bitches game.
