Barcelona
Valencia
AC Milan
Manchester United

Inter Milan
Ajax Amsterdam
Real Madrid
Juventus

So Ajax and ManU are the only non-Spanish/Italian clubs still left in the competition. And no Germans clubs at all.

Bad news for Premiership and Bundesliga clubs. Good news for La Liga and Serie A (especially) clubs.

The draw is Friday 21. Now would it be very interesting if AC Milan and Inter Milan would drawn together as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona? :)

Don't encourage them. ;)
I wonder if the city of Manchester would handle the Italian/Spanish fans coming in for the finals. :D

It might be a long shot, but it would be great to see a Yank (John O'Brien) in the UCL final. GO AJAX. :)

Watch it. You might be into something here. ;)
Especially the way their defense played much like the Keystone cops against Real Madrid the other day.

Ok I made little slips with the team names on them and made my own little draw, and this is what I got. I then tossed a coin to see who won each round.

Man U-Ajax: Ajax

AC Milan-Juve: Juve

Barca-Real: Real

Valencia-Inter: Valencia

Semis

Ajax-Juve: Ajax

Real-Valencia: Real

Final

Ajax-Real: Ajax are the Champions!!

Interesting...this was tottally unbiased coin tossing, however I really expect Man U - AC Milan int he final.

Is it not the case that you cannot play a team from your group or country in the quarters? Because if so, then Real Madrid (second in their group) must play the only group winner who is not from their country, or was in their previous group ... which would be United.

Which means, by extension, that Inter would HAVE to play Valencia. Juve would HAVE to play Barcelona and Ajax would get AC Milan.

It's not

Madrid can't play a team from their group though, so it's between Valencia, Barcelona and Manchester.

I hate to say it...but after a world cup year (1998), a certain team, being the sole representative of a country, went into a country twice in the quaterfinal and semifinal, only to reach a final where they were certainly comfortable in their surroundings. So, in order to jinx them so that it doesn't happen again, i'll say:

Manure v Real Madrid
winner: Manure

Inter Milan v Valencia
Winner: Valencia

Ajax v AC Milan
Winner: Ajax

Juventus v Barcelona
Winner: Barcelona

semis
Manure v Barcelona
Winner: Manure

Valencia v Ajax
Winner: Ajax

final:
Ajax v Manure
Winner: Manure

I hate both finalists, but the home field advantage tips it to the Manure. (Here's hoping this doen't happen)
