as unfortunate as it is for the USA potentially, I'm sure they'll see better results basing it in Spain.

I think the club finally realized that American players would have a hard time making it into the senior squad considering that they would have a problem getting work permits. They may have experienced this somewhat with Cory Gibbs or with the player they are trying to take on loan from Costa Rica. This is why they are concentrating on Spain since England must recognize anyone from an EU country.

I have to say I wonder what was going on there. They had setup a second academy in Tiffin, OH. I live near Tiffin and have family there. It is a large farming community. There is no major city near there with most being more than an hour away. While I can understand Tuscon, I was absolutely left scratching my head on Tiffin.

I also think this had to do with cleaning out the old Curbishley remnants. Dowie wants to get down to business and America is just too far away to conduct it.
