Schalke i'd say.
I don't see Bayern or Bremen making it past the last 16 or at best quarterfinals in the CL, whereas Schalke are genuine uefa cup contenders. I'd say even Leverkusen could do better in the uefa cup than Bayern and Bremen will in the CL.

My prediction is that Bayern will end up third in the group stages and go on to win the UEFA cup.
Werder will finish runners up in the champions league.

Werder will finish runners up in the champions league.
The only way is if they get an easy group and an easy route to the final.
Hopefully the CL final will be Bremen vs Bayern with Bayern winning.:D

Then no one could say the bundesliga isn't as good as premership and la liga.

I wouldn't say that...I'd only say if thats the case that one would have to write of Bundesliga clubs at their own peril. La Liga and EPL still have the star names, its just that we would have the image of a very lethal dark horse.
Personally, I don't care if we're the best; as long as we are feared throughout Europe, I'll be more than satisfied. :D

Can someone please confirm:
I think if Hamburg fails (which I hope not) in the return leg at Osasuna, they'll be out of any race in Europe. i.e. they'll not be going to the uefa cup.

No
Hamburg goes into the 1st round of the UEFA Cup with Schalke, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt and (hopefully  ) Hertha BSC Berlin :)

Read it here:

I cannot find the statement which says a losing team from the third qualifying round of the CL can go to uefa cup first round.
That's why I need to reconfirm.

Can't seem to find it either. I just assume so. But for now I'll put a "Pretty Sure" sticker on it. Thats how it works since I can remember.
