I'm trying to remember the exact quote and who said it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was said by a defender who played either in the pre WW2 era or maybe right after.
Something along the lines of "Either the ball is going past me or you are, but not both." I may have just butchered it and it could turn out to be a fake quote just attributed to the player but if anyone has ever heard this, please let me know. Thanks
