Hey everyone - don't know if you are into betting but there is a completely no-risk free bet on Tottenham with MANSION.

All you have to do is visit the MANSION Sportsbook and place an Asian Handicap bet on Tottenham Hotspur. If your bet is not a winner, MANSION will refund your losses, up to GBP 100 (or currency equivalent), within 48 hours.

MANSION will refund all losses, up to GBP 100 (or currency equivalent), to all members who place an Asian Handicap bet on Tottenham Hotspur for their Saturday, 19 August game.

That's about $200 I think - just enter BOOKIEALERTS when registering to get the free bet.

Think it's quite good MANSION are trying to get Spurs' fans on board!

It's true. A free bet.

Asian Handicap is different though;

With Asian Handicap betting you eliminate the possibility of a draw in a soccer game.

The underdog will be given a head start of a handicap, and the favourite will be handicapped by the same handicap. The predetermined number of handicap will be added to the real number of goals and make up the right bet.

Example
Match Home Handicap Away
Liverpool v Aston Villa 1.90 0:1/2 1.95

You can read this like : 'Liverpool giving 1/2 ball to Aston Villa'. This means that Aston Villa has a 1/2 ball advantage when the game starts.

If you bet on Liverpool you will win your bet if Liverpool win the match, otherwise you will lose. If you bet on Aston Villa you will win your bet if the game ends draw or Aston Villa win the game.

See? No? Me neither..

The easiest way to look at it is like this.

Chelsea v Liverpool

Handicap 0 - 1 1/2

This means that Liverpool have a one and a half goal headstart. So if Chelsea win 2 - 1, Liverpool win the bet because they have a 1.5 goal headstart. Meaning, the final result is Chelsea 2 Liverpool 2.5 .

It's a bit to get your head around.

Pretty easy to get used to. We call that a "point spread" here in the states and it's basically the only way you can bet on American football and basketball games.

It is probably easy to get used to but while I was managing a William Hill we never had that sort of handicapping. You had point starts and stuff, but the odds were still in fraction form.

Basically mate you just add the handicap for the team you back to the final score and if your team has still one he bet pays.

Its really good if you got a heavily odds on favourite against a crap team as youll generally get evens about the handicap. Also sometimes a team will have a 0 handicap and be a better price than the normal win!

Also if there can be no draws, and so Spurs and bolton both have a 0 handicap. If the game is a draw, its still a draw after handicap, and so stake is returned. If spurs win you collect about £80 profit. If bolton win you loose the bet but its free so no biggie.

Hopefully not too many people take them up on the offer...or we might wind up with a stomach virus again :).

I stuck £100 on Spurs yesterday, at 1.84. Bolton are 1.97.

So if Spurs win then I win £84 profit, if Bolton win then I get my £100 back. Looks like a rare chance to beat the bookie ;)

If the match is a draw your bet is void and you get yer money back as well.

By the way for anyone who has a penchant for poker - Mansion have some really good value tournaments...

Apparently you have to send them a copy of photographic ID before withdrawing your money for the first time?

Scan my passport and email them the pic I think.
