Nihat has denied that he is on the verge of sealing a summer transfer to Manchester United, but did not rule out if he would should the Premiership giants make an offer.
The rumours began when Alex Ferguson's brother, Martin, was seen at a Sociedad game recently.
The Turkish striker has been a revelation for Real Sociedad this term scoring 13 goals in just 19 appearances for the Spanish title chasers.
After joining the San Sebastian-based outfit last season from Besiktas, his speed and eye for goal has made him a hero among the Sociedad fans.
"Nobody has called me and I am completely calm about everything," he explained.
"I have a contract at Real Sociedad until 2006, so if anyone wants to sign me they have to speak to the club and the president.
"I don't know if the rumours about Manchester United are true or not because I have not heard a thing.
"All I want to do is play for Sociedad now and not be distracted by other things going on."
