Makaay ---------------- Podolski

--------Dos Santos
Schweini ----------------- Brazzo

----------- Hargreaves

Lahm -------- Lucio --------- Van Buyten -------- Sagnol
-
Kahn

If Dos Santos playing bad put in Ottl and go back to what they played against Dortmund.

thanks deadfingers for starting up these threads. its been impossible for me to get on the computer at normal times of the day because i work 4am-1pm chicago time trying to make as much money as i can at Target before I have to go back to school. also i just spent about 150 US dollars on new stuff from the Bayern shop including the new long sleeve away kit :) once i'm back at school im positive ill start the match threads up after matches

Since it can't be Bayern's claim to play against Bochum that defensively they played against Dortmund, I'm opting for a more offensive setup for that game

exactly. i hope we will see the formation eric posted above, i finally want to see dos santos and poldi in action for a longer period in a "real", competitive match for bayern.

I like the formation too. especially against bochum its good to experiment. if it turns to disaster bring the last group of starters on as subs

I'm pretty sure Magath will go with the same line up he used against BVB except starting Podolski instead of Santa Cruz.

That could work too :)

I wouldn't expect it.

Magath wants to get some rhythm into the squad. The national players have just returned, and despite an easy 2-0 win over Dortmund, the squad still has to gel. The only way to do that is on the pitch.

Also do keep in mind that Bochum, fresh from the 2. Bundesliga, will be keen to prove that they belong. I'm sure Magath doesn't expect them just to roll over, and they won't, especially at home.

Look for Magath to field the same players that opened the season.

This would be my guess. Although props to Eric_101491 (brilliant first name btw!) for including the Dos Santos move. Can't hurt to put this guy in and give him a shot... especially in light of the fact that Deisler and Karimi are out, and Santa Cruz is likely not going to play there.

If things go sour, rather than insert Ottl as we did against Dortmund, inject der Meister, Mehmet Scholl!!!! :D

Now THAT is what I'm talking about!!!

I would still prefer it if Magath uses Poldi off the bench.

Why?

Why?

He's a talented player and I don't want Magath to desperately use him every game and force his adaptation to the team. PLus I explained in the Bayern-Dortmund thread that I believe he would be much more effective brought on in a latter stage of the game, he's speedy, skillfull, and will create chances. As of right now, I don't want him to be forced into the team.

Oh Bochum.....hmmmmm

Normally this would be a 4-1, but all of you guys seem to forget that theres Int'l Friendlies 2 days prior to kick off, and not to foget its and away game.

So i predict a lack luster draw for bayern, or a very scrappy 1-0 victory
Makaay on the scoresheet again.

Alright Makaay, you're in better form and you should start. Score for the Club.

2-0 Bayern!

Unlike most of you guys,I will opt for an easy Bayern victory 3-0 to be exact.I think that Makaay and Poldi should start with no changes to the midfield.Hope Owen doesnt show lack of motivation;)
