And I'm gonna be there - 7th row behind the goal (too bad I'm too cheap to spring for pricier tickets!)

Metros 20K? 11K tops, the team is playing awful footie and wednesday nights means no turn out from NYC folk at all.
All star game draws 26.5 K. I drool over Veronica Paysee, all in all a good day.

2-3 weeks ago, I read that the number of All Star Tickets pre-sold was 15,000. These estimates of low-mid 20K are disappointing given the fact the game is at RFK.
Does anyone have any idea how many tickets have been pre-sold? Does anyone else think that 25K woudl be a low turnout given the circumstances (RFK - proven solid attendance, MLS All Stars - good players, US Nats - good players)?

I'd be disapointed if it was only 25k.

I am actually shocked it is so high.
Who wants to sit in that rinky dink stadium in 85 deg weather with 100% humidity and see Juergen Sommer and John Harkes play?
Puhlease, our and all-star games are a sham anyways.

I actually heard on the radio that they opened up additional sections. It is probably just a way to try to make people think the attendance is going to be good, but who knows maybe there is some truth to it.

Way to miss the point.
If it was in Giants Stadium I still wouldn't go. How does that feed into your paranoia???
And this  does not make you anymore witty.

1. Pathethic
2. Looked bigger on TV
3. Move San Jose
4. Move Kansas City
5. I've been to games there for years and the parking lot was 1/2 full so that was 15,000 easy.
Did I miss any?

Well everyone I know was interested in the All Star game until the US team released it's lineup, add to that the skills challenge for the palyers was scrapped this year so little kids could do the challenge. 3:30 start team in the beginning of August = torture. Game live on ABC, so if you don't want to stand in the heat, watch it on TV. I will be there with 9 of my friends sitting with the screaming Eagles, but I have a feeling that the All Star game will be in the 25k to 28k range.
