Phil Neville ahead of Scott Parker? Really?

I wondered how on earth he got this job in the first place. I guess I'll just have to keep wondering. At least he chose some strikers in his squad.

I'm glad he's not in the England squad.

Well it may be good for us as far as injury risks. However don't you think he has earned it? Also, don't underestimate the fact that it may weigh on his mind. It would be good for him and us if he were to get some international play in the center of midfield, imo.

He should be in the squad. England's biggest weakness is that nobody in midfield can tackle or win a ball. I'd have Nigel Reo-cocker in there as well.

Who cares about England. All playing for them has done to our players in injure them.

In a World Cup year, yes..
In a Euro year, yes...

In a friendly 2 months after the world cup, no way.

Nah, he dropped Becks, so he's only a half-wit at worst. :D

Laugh at him all you want for his Manchester United days, but I think Phil has really started to blossom, so to speak, at Everton. He's been a leader on and off the field, and while he may not be the most technically gifted player, he gives 110% every single game.

That being said, I was more than a little surprised to see him named to the roster.

He is a fool unless he sees the light and plays 3-5-2.

As far as im concerned, Gerrard and Lampard should be Englands most influencial players yet they allways seem below par. I think this is because they cannot play together with only 4 in midfield because when they do this they both end up doing the same thing as each other!

Our defenders are plenty good enough to have only 3 at back, so why not be more attacking?!

Actually I laugh at him for his Everton days. How many points did they get with him compared to the season before without?

Phil is a decent player but shouldn't be on the England roster imo.

Not even the point. We had a bad start last year and it had nothing to do with the way Neville played.

And nobody's arguing with you about whether or not he should be on the England squad.

I appreciate your point of view but I disagree.
