Ok, so first I thought I'd be in rural Minnesota on the 19th. I was wrong, happily. Then I thought I'd be in Philly, which is fine, lots of places to see the game. I was wrong. Which is bad. I'll be in D.C. it seems. I don't know the city in terms of football fans at all.
Is there a place that will be showing the Arsenal-Villa that morning so early? I damn hope so.

oh whoops I was getting confused with the other game that I absolutely know is on Setanta. the derby, which IS, i think, at 7:30.
And thanks for the link, sorry to create a new thread. I tried searching DC, D.C., D.C in the forum but it kept giving me no results. Go figure.

The lucky bar in Dupont Circle should, as usual, be serving up bloody marys and Arsenal soccer.

oh no doubt. usually when i go to to Lucky it's for the really big games. it's atmosphere is really tough to beat. however, with the huge crowd, the kitchen gets backed up and that's why i complain about the cold english breakfast.
(btw, the fish and chips really kicks ass.)

That's why it's best to get in super early, or eat beforehand so you don't have to order anything until later, if you want.

most of the time i'm there waiting outside for it to open...but yeah you've got a point.
btw Darth, i used to live by you. i used to live in the Dorchester apartments, right by the original Bob & Edith's. i've since moved further down Columbia Pike, but yeah...it's a small world.

Yeah, I'm in Fillmore Gardens myself. :D
Ahh yes, the Lucky wait. I've done that three times already since May, once for the CL final, and for two England matches. Thank heaven for iPods and the City Paper.

In the name of all that is good and holy, go to Lucky Bar.
If you want to waste away in a smoke-filled chamber with old Eastern european men swearing at each other while the waiter brings you coffee with no free refills, by all means, go to Summers.

Dammit, Soccer Nation's website hasn't been updated since before the World Cup. I have no idea if Lucky's even showing the game. Since FSC isn't showing it, the fu¢kheads, maybe Rogers Sportsnet would have it on.
