I had not realised John Terry was a United fan growing up:

No, I was Man Utd growing up. You know what it's like when you're a boy, you want to support the team that's winning everything. And my dad and grandad were Man Utd fans. But my first day at Chelsea I knew that was the club I wanted to be at. I just loved it. But Man Utd also approached me.

I met Alex Ferguson - great to meet. During the school holidays I would go up to Manchester and train with their boys for two weeks, play a few games and come home. But one thing that was really special about Man Utd was that Alex Ferguson took time out and invited me to one of their games and to have lunch with their players. So there we are - me, my mum and dad, my brother. He made me feel so special, autographs, my photo done with the Premiership trophy. I think it was hard for my dad to take that I was going to sign for Chelsea, but I had to sit him down and tell him it was definitely the right decision.

Just what is going on with ribery? First he commits to the club then says he wants to leave and play in the CL. Now he wants to stay put and get the club to the CL. He was part of marseille uefa cup game so he's tied till february. wtf is going on with this guy? :confused:

Hatem Trabelsi has completed his transfer to Manchester City

The fiancee of England footballer Steven Gerrard has been questioned by police over an alleged assault. Alex Curran, 23, was arrested following an incident at a restaurant in Liverpool city centre on Friday. The alleged incident is believed to have taken place at the Shangri-La restaurant in the early hours.

After losing out on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Hernan Crespo, Milan are aiming for Fernando Torres, although Kaka admits he’d prefer Ronaldo.

The Spanish youngster, who impressed at the World Cup this summer, has been linked with the Rossoneri for several years now and this might finally be the time to complete the transfer.

In the wake of Andriy Shevchenko’s £30m switch to Chelsea, the club has shown interest in a number of strikers, but Ibrahimovic and Crespo’s decision to join Inter this week left them empty-handed.

Atletico Madrid would be willing to release Fernando Torres for around £22m and it’s reported that director Ariedo Braida will meet with the Spaniards to discuss the move.

Capello likes Ruud more already, hehe. Don't think its a smart move for Madrid to swap Ronaldo for a cup-tied Kaka though. But right now Madrid really lacks any creativity under Capello and Kaka could change that, while Ronaldo will try and get Sheva's goals for AC..
