View Full Version : A Question for Season Ticket Holders

Has anyone who has renewed for the upcoming season received either a letter from Lou Imbriano or a phone call from the ticket office asking you to renew and/or reconsider renewing?
I ask this because I renewed my tickets (and even bought 2 more) back in November and I received both the letter and phone call recently.
This was a mistake on the part of the Revolution (which I cleared up for them).
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similiar experience....

Not me.
I had called a month ago asking about my renewal. Left a message in the voicemail with no call back.
Called a week or so ago and actually spoke to someone. They confirmed seating and such. Tickets are to be mailed out the end of the month.

A good friend that did not renew yet, did receive a call for him to do so recently. The sales person apparently threw in the "carrot" of a couple free passes to the fidelity club if they did so. They did not commit though.

Ditto
but I did get a reply from Sunil to my email about my disappointment about the 'home' CONCACAF match.

My beef is this. I renewed months ago, with the understanding that someone would call about seating. I later got a card in the mail, which I returned to request a change in seating, and never heard anything further. When I called today, I heard that my seats were the same as last year - the request was lost/ignored. Naturally, my options at this point were limited.

I renewed along with some friends....4 accounts all together. No calls.
Does anyone know if the season parking pass is being offered?

From what I've heard, they will be offered and will be sent out early next month...

I just called and found out they had made the same mistake with me- that is, I requested a change in seating which they ignored or forgot. However the guy I spoke with was willing to see about getting me better seats within the same category, so if that is what you want it might be worth another call...

Gee....your friend got thrown a carrot???? He should feel lucky. My good friend got what I guess you could call a harrassing phone call at work from a very well known Rev staffer. Apparently he didn't want to accept his nonsoccer related reasons for not reupping. Instead she was accused of not supporting soccer in NE, holding a grudge because certain players were not still on the team and not being a "real" fan. And of course...he was again informed that the sun didn't shine on the east side of the stadium.

I never received a phone call from my ticket rep., but I did receive a letter from a member of the front office indicating their "disappointment" at my decision not to re-new, going on to explain the benefits to Center Circle numbers and eventually, dangled a "carrot" in an attempt to get me to renew. This incentive to renew would be an upgrade from my current seats to the Fidelity Clubhouse for one match, or the chance to have a VIP field visit, a soccer clinic, or photo with a player.
The letter was appreciated, and one of similar tone was sent back to the Revolution outlining the reasons why I'd decided not to renew.
Jane, my advice would be to write up a summary of that call, what was said, then forward it to MLS HQ in New York. There's no reason long-time Revolution supporters, or any supporters of other MLS clubs should be harassed, intimidated, or insulted by staff of their club's front office as a means to get someone to pay for season tickets.

I did reup because I've earned this final year of my grandfathered prices. However, its more than disappointing to see that fans that reup early, OR apparently late, get some benefits that those of us who just did it "on-time" don't get. It's pretty pathetic.

The early re-enlistment perk was the playoff ticket rebate.
You know, this is a struggling business. Should they really be stroking season ticketholders rather than pouring all their efforts into selling more tickets?
I re-upped, because I was pretty darn happy with the on-field product last year and expect to be this year too. Saving a few bucks was enough to get me to commit early, but I never had any doubts.
I have some complaints about the game day experience, but it certainly wasn't any worse than what I've experienced at the Sox or the Celtics.
What it comes down to is wanting to watch some attractive, quality soccer and FINALLY they are providing that.

Remember, there were others. There was a training session perk, a photo op with a player, some on-field gameday thing for new people, and i believe there were 1 or 2 others for people reupping. It seemed to switch every month or 2 during the off season.

We got the letter from Lou stating his disappointment and that our ticket rep would love to hear from us- because this year it was all going to be different-as things would be geared to us- the most loyal fans etc etc. Offered us the same "carrots" as Magpie mentioned-
We did not re-up after all these years- for a variety of issues. The most basic being that to me- it was just not as enjoyable a day going to the stadium as it used to be.

Oh boy!!!! I got a letter too!!!! They must have gone back on their logs as I didn't get season tickets last year either. What do I want to bet that they could find me a single season ticket this year that was seemingly non-existent last season? But alas....I've already been stripped of my Center Circle Membership..so....

I've received a letter, maybe even two, and several calls. I did not renew my seats because I bought in with Alan Lavalley's group this year--makes more sense for me logistically.

Renewed. No calls/letters.
Why did I renew? Because I was happy with the improvement on the field. And because, frankly, I'm addicted. :) Do I think there are improvements to be made in many areas relating to the team and MLS? You bet.
Re: parking pass. Yes, they are being offered. Letter with my season tix said to login to the Center Circle website for details.

That makes me ill. I agree with Magpie, forward a letter to MLS HQ. No ticket buyer (season tickets, group, individual or game day) should be harassed. MLS should be welcoming fans, not alienating them.
