Good job, Duncan.
It will appear rather awkward if team II get promoted to compete with their first team in the same league. I wonder how Dfb can deal with situations like that so fairplay can be ensured.

I really like Niedermaier and Maierhoffer, I hope they can get some playing time with the first team soon.

they wont get promoted. they won the regional league south, i think it was two years ago, but they didnt get promoted. im nit sure about this, but i think they chose to stay in their division because they didnt have the appropriate faclities. but it could well be that this reason is wrong, but i think i read something about it a while ago. duncan will probably know the exact reasons. so duncan, feel free to correct me.

Great stuff Duncan!!! Thanks mate! I am hoping for some call ups from these boys as well.
I was looking over the US Youth national team's and found a kid under there who apparently plays in the youth system in Munich. Here are his details from the website:
Durr, Kevin M 5' 4" 125 03/13/91 Garmisch, Germany Bayern Munich FC
Be interesting to know more about this possible US prospect (someday perhaps).

Amateur teams of professional clubs cannot be promoted out of the Regionalliga division just because that's the rule. How silly would it be having the top 9 Bundesliga teams and their amateurs all playing in one league.
Anyways watch out for Stefano Celozzi, I hear he will choose to play for Germany should the call come.

yes they won Regionaliga Sued in season 03/04, when Thorsten Fink was captain, and the likes of Misimovic, Guerrero, etc were in the team. they couldn't get promoted because they are not a "professional" team...as you can see, they're called "FCB Amateure", and the regionaliga is semi-pro.
but I've heard that the football league committee is thinking about setting up a reserve league for all professional clubs' second string, like they have in England.

Freiburg surely was one heck of trouble for us last season in the U19 league. thank god we got over them in semis and went into the final.
i really hope this year we can get into the final again! better against Schalke again as we want revenge..

Has anyone watched him play? Is he any good? Will we see him in the first team one day?
