Reds fans can now download the first official United podcast from www.manutd.com/podcast.

Presented by broadcaster and lifelong supporter Eamonn Holmes, the half-hour programme features exclusive interviews with Dwight Yorke, Gary Pallister and celebrity fans including actor Ralf Little and Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell.

The podcast also features comedy sketches including the first instalment of the Premiership reality show "Big Bother". Plus there's the chance to win one of the new United shirts – email Eamonn at eamonn.holmes@manutd.co.uk with stories about the first United shirt you owned. The best – and funniest – will win the prize.

Look out for future podcasts once the season gets underway. The next one – available from 24 August – will feature an exclusive interview with the incomparable Eric Cantona.

Not heard it and I'm stuck at uni just now, so I won't have a chance to do anything until later on. You have a choice though.

1. Put you hand in your pocket and contribute to our transfer fund. :D
2. Wait for someone to 'pass it around'.

1.50 per podcast? I guess that the standard for podcasts like Ricky Gervais on this audible.co.uk site (and Eamonn Holmes needs to get paid) but wouldn't United be better off with some kind of free podcast? I don't see them making much money from this paid podcast.
Why not have a simply produced one that they can get out more widely to their fanbase? They could put in enough promotions for United merchandise etc. to make it worth the effort.

It'll take a hell of a lot of podcast downloads to pay for that!
Maybe if they had a video podcast of Rooney and Ronaldo beating the crap out of each other. That could be quite popular.

Every little bling counts for the gayzers. Plus, most of their international fans are probably not english. Lastly, if you're insistent, I'm sure there will be.. mm.. "duplicate" releases elsewhere online.

I just can't see a lot of people paying to hear Eamonn Holmes prattle on about United, even at only 1.50 a throw.
I guess "the Market" will decide. If it fails to catch on then United should consider the free option. There's enough English-speaking United fans to make it a worthwhile way of talking to their fanbase.

Or you could download mine for free, whenever I decide to get it started up again (hint: this week, today or tomorrow).
