With all the disruption today at Heathrow, I wonder if our friends eg Rick and company are actually able to return to London today.:(

Valid point, they have cancelled all incoming flights which aren't already in the air.

Wow, you guys broke this story for me. I hadn't seen anything, but I checked in to CNN after seeing the thread. Good work by the British security services, hope they've shut down the whole operation.

Had a call from the Guys about an hour ago, at the time their flight had been delayed untill 14.45 about two hours I think, they're flying to luton, which although still open , is suffering huge delays. At the moment, Rick and the Grimster are having to suffer the hospitality of the Executive lounge at Zagreb airport:)

Lucky I got out on Monday or I'd probably still be there, trying for tickets for the 14th and 19th:)

I have just heard that the police have raided 4 houses in High Wycombe, thats literally just down the road from here, about 2-3 miles from where Im sitting now. Imagine these terrorists going round shopping in the same shops as me and you. Scary:(

The one in Walthamstow is at the top of my road, less than a minutes walk, we drove past this morning an there was a PC on the door step, thought nothing of it , got to work and saw the house on TV:eek:.
By the way the Lads are back in town

I will be going to collect some friends from Heathrow in about 2 hours. They came over from Dulles, Washington D.C. Only about 1 hour delay so I thought that that wasn't too bad. I didn't expect to see them at all today.
All European flights to London were announced as cancelled, but I see that some are getting through. I expect "The Grimster" will explain that he drank all the liquid as he couldn't take it on board! :D
As for vodka and coke. There is only so much a small man can consume!! ;)

I used to live in Walthamstow, Campus Rd just off Queens Rd near the Kelmscott sportscentre. Hope this has nothing to do with me....

So the Grimster frequents executive lounges now does he - when did he go all nobby and posh :D. This is the same guy that took the piss out of me endlessly for getting dropped off at the Wheatsheaf in a chauffer driven limo :). When did he surrender to the good things in life - sounds like our Tory Rick is having an influence.

Seconded! Did you have to walk back?
Or did you get a bereavement ticket since you're, like, Barry Manilow's girlfriend? :D :p

We got lucky. We were only delayed for 2.5 hours. A couple of the guys are tonight spending the night in Prague, although they didn't seem too upset.......:p The Croatian airways flight was delayed from 8am to 6.30pm and that was when we left, so it may of been cancelled in the end. One of those things. I was asked if it will put me off flying........my answer was on July 9th there were thousands in London who took the tube to show these bastards won't win.
