What happened to Allen Hopkins?

I have not seen him on TV since the World Cup ended. I assume he is now a full time ESPN employee, so we will not see him back on Fox Soccer Channel, but does anyone know for sure?

He's at least finishing out the season with the LA Galaxy, as I caught a glimpse of him on the FSC feed last night (FSC/SUM co-produced with FSN West as they usually do for Galaxy and Chivas USA games).

Beyond that, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a studio analyst for MLS on ESPN next season.

Maybe someone heard his comment that if World Cup players thought it was hot in Germany this year, wait until they get to South Africa in 2010.

(June is winter in South Africa and the temperature rarely gets above 60 in most of the country)
