Okay, so, like, I make my little joke about Chivas USA celebrating its 100th anniversary. This week in the LA papers, Chivas USA is billing Saturday's game as a centennial match.
Which, now that I think about it, I have no problem with. When Sit 'n Sleep opens a new store, all the old ones hold a "Grand Opening!" sale. Besides, the visiting team is the Kansas City Wizards, one of the continent's biggest attendance-killers. Yeah, the "Preki against his old team! Holy flucking snit!" factor is there, but the Chivas USA fanbase cares about Preki THIIIIIIIIIIS much.
Oh, wait, Matt Taylor is facing his old team? Open up the grassy hill - I smell sellout!*
*They actually will open up the grassy hill, and it might indeed sellout. Fireworks, you see. Every time I try to make a joke about Chivas USA, it is overtaken by events. I think I'm funny, but I'm not.
