A few members I won't mention(:p ) got on me for saying I heard crickets on this forum. Well it's been over 24 hours since a post was made here pertaining to real football. It's sad when I find college gridiron chat but nothing about football. What gives?

Eeeeeasy....it's the calm before the storm. UEFA Cup begins in 2 days, the season following week. Pretty much everything this time of year ends up in "Rumor, Half-Truth and Lie" page, which is why that thread is over 1,000 replies, and you don't see a bunch of other threads.
Speaking for myself, I'm a little beat down on the "silly" season (transfer season). We've been linked with everyone that has ever kicked a ball into a net, and I've about had enough of getting into big conversations about whether we should bring in Ronaldihno, Kaka or the 1986 Argentian team.
As for news, let see...the only "real" news story for the last 5 days is that Faye is on his way to Charlton. That must be a hell of a physical they're putting him through. Even the Chronicle has been boring for the last week. And don't compare this board to the boards at Chelsea, Arsenal or ManU, where 75% of the posters have scrap-marks on their knees from when they jumped on the bandwagon.
Sometimes in the soap opera of Newcastle United, no news is good news. Trust me, the drama is coming.
PS: Start some threads yourself [not about the lack of threads though ;) ]

Just give us the 2.5 million:eek:, and he's yours!:D
The bandwagon(darkside) has alot of pull at the Chelsea board for sure.

Can she walk yet?

Not a bad idea. However they may just get closed if they don't meet the criteria of a certain mall security guard. Be damned if you try to start a discussion about a Magpie player with NUFC supporters.

Does this forum have England anywhere on it? No.
It's Newcastle. He didn't get selected, who cares. Discussion over.

Yes, but him not being selected for the England squad has nothing to do with Newcastle. You seem to be the only person on here who cares.
We all think it's a good thing since every time one of our players go away with England they come back injured.

Well I count three in the closed thread who disagree. However the point is others could come along and add to the discussion. Was it really cluttering up the board? In what way was closing it for the good of the NUFC board? Is wanting to discuss him being left out of the thread with other NUFC supporters such an issue?
