I think this WAS here for a short while....but it was deleted because, to be honest, it was kinda pointless.
I dunno, though. With all the new cauldron-related threads and activities, maybe it's time to have a separate forum.

I think now it'd be more useful then when we first got it, I mean, I'm not sure how useful it'd be but I'm sure it'd be pretty useful, I mean using this we could post a lot of the Cauldron stuff and those that don't want to read about it don't have to.

What ever you guys want. I know this was talked about (Ben and I) when it was introduced by the BS pooba's but we said no thank you. But now might be a good time to put this to good use.
Posters thoughts please?

Cool, threads are starting to move.
Could you move that one about the Player Flags here?

Yep sure can. Sorry I missed it.

Doesn't matter either way to me, I pretty much read through everything anyway. I even read through the kickaround thread and I'm never going to make one of those.

Spoon, did you ask for sub forum to be opened? I did not. I don't think it's necessary either. It's not like our forum is over run with threads. We usually have 10-15 MAX going at once. If Cauldron threads were getting in the way of strictly Wizards threads, or vise versa, I'd understand. But that isn't the case so I don't see why this sub forum is needed.

I think it's needed to spur discussion specifically about the Cauldron. If we have our own forum, I think we'll fill it up.
Right now it's mixed in with everything else out there, and we get complaints from some people that the main board is too cliquish.
Well move the clique to here, and then people will know where these conversations go.
Maybe someone will be inspired to start a thread specifically on the Cauldron if they know there is a place to discuss this stuff.
We could keep a schedule/calendar in here so people could see what we have planned for a certain game. I know we have kccauldron.com, and I check that too, but we can't really ask questions there. If there was a forum on that site for the Cauldron, I think you're right, we wouldn't need this.

I understand your points. I just don't think it's necessary. I think we can accomplish everything you said by just using the main forum.

Sorry But I have ha nothing to do with this. It just showed up. The "Huh" thread was started and I replied. Maybe it is time for this sub-forum. Sorry, oh Holy Dictator, that I have listened to the people an I am putting this sub Forum to good use. Maybe we could use it to get more colege kids out to the games and a sponsor for beer cups as well. whoopish!

No dammit I like it. Besides the other forum is a pain in the but to find things. I have had alot of complaints from BS Newbies who no longer post becuase it is a hastle to find what they are looking for. In the end it is fine and I would like for the sub-forum to stay.
We need to get a tailgate menu/location thread up in here as well.

Sure we can. We've been doing it that way. Maybe this way will actually encourage more discussion specifically about the Cauldron.

I don't think that comment was necessary. I simply stated my opinion about this topic. I don't feel the sub forum is necessary. The only person I see actively wanting it is Jeff. If there was a public outcry for a sub forum obviously it would be a no brainer. It seems you're making this decision, which is fine. But I think we'll lose some participation in Cauldron related discussions because a lot of posters will just hit the main KC forum and not bother with the sub forum.
Hell, the only reason this even came up is because somehow the sub forums that were turned off months ago accidentally got turned back on.

Is there public outcry ever on this forum? No. That's the point. The forum has become stale. It's essentially the same 20 posters doing the bulk of the posting with a large amount of lurkers.
I would also disagree that people haven't asked for this. It has been brought up many times in the past, by people complaining about the cliquish Cauldron feel of the boards. Just because you ignored their opinion, or maybe they don't post anymore (I don't see staubio around much nowadays) doesn't mean they didn't have it.
On top of that, every successful MLS supporters group has a forum of their own to discuss what's happening with said supporters group. We don't have a designated place for that to happen, and I think the discussion suffers as a result. I think this is a no-brainer considering kccauldron.com doesn't have this feature.

I'm with Jeff on this one, if only for the fact that i think the main board has become a little bit too cluttered with cauldron-related stuff.

Like I said, I simply disagree. That does not mean I'll try to stop us from having this forum. It doesn't mean anything other than I don't agree but am willing to try it because obviously I'm not always right. I'll participate in and moderate this forum just like I would the other one. No big deal.
