Only freshmen on the JCS varsity high school soccer team - starting goalkeeper, sometimes stopper. team record 17, 9, 2 , 2nd place in districts.

hey LSN, i go to Rockhurst. Played soccer first two years, but quit this year for certain reasons. What position do you play and what year are you?

i was on the team. one of only 2 subs. i wasnt the best and i was only a freshman but coach didnt play me cuz i was late from wrestling and i cursed too much(i just wanna win soooo bad) so after the team opened the season 1-7 and i still didnt play i quit.

I play for a High School team in South Korea..Osan American High School..Its a Department of Defense School ( military ) and we play other Korean International schools and other Department of Defense schools..Every year Japan holds a Far East Tournament..where teams from around asia attend..We placed second after an International Korean School..

Wow how strange is that i also play in the Department of Defence but in Europe (italy) for Steven Decatur HS (Goalkeeper/Stopper)

i played this year for my team down in virginia Beach. I started out 3 weeks late in training so i was on jv...i was the captain but then moved up to jv after my first game, i played defence, and striker....had 14 goals...which is an upset when i came from italy last year and had 20 in an italian local league...:(
personally USA isnt my favorite place to play, mine are spain and italy...
hey #1 goalie...i was stationed in sig last year...are you craig sands??? im James Hedrick...who are you?
i went to stephen Decatur last year....
i know Shawn Mcintosh, Frenchie, Craig Sands...you might know them from the team..

3 year varsity, 2 as sweeper and captain, all league junior and senior year w00t w00t. League champions senior year. I'll be attending San Diego State University in the fall.

question for high school players:
My daughter goes to a division 1 school, for her soccer try-outs, the kids are evaluated by fitness tests, and not by soccer skills. Some really great players didn't make the team (JV or Varsity) because they failed fitness tests by a few seconds..it seemed like it was the school's loss though, ie: one girl is an outstanding goalie on club teams, and it seemed as though her skill should surpass running a 2 miles in August in 12 minutes...
Do your schools do this too? Do you think this is good practice?
