General Bookmakers or Betting Exchanges

Hi there all,

After being informed that you can regularly find better odds on a betting exchange thean a general bookmaker, is this true?

Do you prefer using a general bookmakers or a betting exchange?

I use a bookmaker. Most of the highly-rated exchanges don't allow US punters to wager. From what I understand, BetFair won't let Americans open accounts. (Of course, you might not be a Yank.) Which exchange do you use? The option of laying on a loser is an obvious advantage, but some argue that it makes it easier to collude. In other words, it's easier to lose a game or race than to win one.
