We might as well get a thread started for the upcoming international friendlies that will be taking place soon, as well as the qualification games that are around the corner.
Scotland
First up we have some old news. Darren Fletcher will be taking part in a 30 player training camp on the 14-15 August in St Andrews. Scotland boss Walter Smith decided that he wanted a camp instead of a friendly match in order to prepare for our ridiculous Euro 2008 qualification group. Grumpy old git.

Norway
The latest news is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been selected by Norwegian coach Age Hariede from their friendly against Brazil in Oslo (16th Aug). Ferguson has recently stated that he thought Ole should concentrate on club football (link (http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={B4CEE8FA-9A47-47BC-B069-3F7A2F35DB70}&newsid=352815)), so let's see how he responds to the news...

Hey, with Spector gone and Howard on loan, does this mean we will be spared any talk about a certain national team?:)

You think that we'll be spared the Rossi discussion? Somehow I don't think so..

One would think so.
Not to mention certain National Team doesn't actually have a manager to call up any players

That talk will be limited to USA N&A. It's even been banned from YA.

No, I'm sure we'll talk about the World Champions.

http://www.fotball.no/t1.aspx?p=51831&x=1&a=172986I see this as great news for the club. Ole fitness, Ole confidence. I don't see a downside.

Sir Alex said he didn't want Ole going to International camp because he thought it might ut too much of a strain on him

We've got more English to look after now, but at least Mcclaren is the England manager and he's on good terms with Fergie. We'll have to watch what Spain does as well with Senna joining us any day now.

Does that mean that he'll refrain from calling up any United players ;)

It'd be interesting to se StevieM try to play hard ball with Fergie...

I don't know how I feel about Ole playing for Norway again. If he breaks down with them....boy there are going to be issues.

it won't be much of a fight. These are European qualifiers afterall. If Rio, Carrick, Rooney, and Gary Neville can play - they'll be called up
