I'd be willing to bet my Irish Estate Home that Mak when healthy will just about start every meaningful match in the Makspot.
Actually think Diarra has become a better backup to Mak as a holding midfielder though Essein is tremendous becoming one of my favorites, in his usual spot. When Drogba and Sheva play togeather think we may see a lot of Essien with Ballack and Lampard at the expense of a wing.

Sort of radical information in there... I don't think many of us were thinking of formations for this season that didn't include a holding midfielder.
Maybe a radical 3-5-2 is in the works:
..............Maka
.........Lamps, Ballack
J. Cole..................... Robben
..........Drogba, Sheva

I'll bet my Scottish Castle and raise you one small Cornish village. . .
Er...Yeah, I think the younger Essien will start on Sunday, Maka still recovering from the World Cup and Essien has energy to burn. I think it'll be a big season for the buffalo.
There will be (might be) injuries and that'll determine who plays where and when. I am little concerned about what happens during the African nations...losing Kalou and Drogba and IF Sheva were to have knock...

At this point.....you'll piss us off more if you don't sign him.
I wonder....wouldn't put it past Jose :D

Yeah, it's turning into a bit of a soap opera, isn't it!
I wonder whether Cole's new missus has anything to do with his unsettled demeanour over the past few years. I've got to say I didn't believe all that twoddle about him 'not expecting' to see JM in the hotel last year.
Yeah, it's possible... just very unlikely IMO.
I think most of us aren't too sure how it's going to work out if we do buy him. Good player and all that but JM seems to be trying to steer clear of anyone who's going to mess up the dressing room.

The way this is dragging out, it makes me wonder if it's all just gamesmanship from Chelsea.
We'll eventually give in, giving them what they want - but, do it so late, they won't be able to spend it in the transfer market.
Nah - that was be just too much for the manc renegade to come up with.

He can't get a game at Betis because of Joaquin, so he think he might get a game at Chelsea FC with Robben, SWP, Kalou and Joe Cole ahead of him?

Chelsea have increased their offer for Arsenal defender Ashley Cole to £23m, which should clinch the deal. (Times)
No f**king way they are going to pay that. As we seem to agree the Ashley Cole sage is over either Arsenal let him go or they have one disgruntled player on their books and no matter how much Terry 'Enry tries to convince him to stay. He will still be the only first team English player on their books if he does and thats what is bothering him. This will make Arseanl a target if he leaves and rightly so. Its not like chelsea never had to put up with this so called foreign influx nonsense. The offer is the offer and thats ya lot!!

I hope you're right but I have a feeling you're not. My guess is we're going to pay.
