Felix Magath, coach of German double-winner Bayern Munich,
dally over a job in Costa Rica. The 53 years old got an offer
to become teamdirector of the nationalteam of Costa Rica.

"I have an offer from Costa Rica", the 53 backed up
in an interview with German news magazine "Focus".

Magath wants to make a decision about it in the next 4 weeks.
He informed FC bayern Munich, there he has a contract till 2008,
about the offer.

He could imagine to work the next two years part-time from Germany
as an advisor for the assosiation of Costa Rica:
"The important qualification matches for the next World Cup
start in September 2008."

When his contract as Bayern coach end the teamdirector-job
would be a serious option, Magath said.
Magath not only travelles each year to Costa Rica in his holidays,
but also has family relations to the Caribic country.

His father is born in Costa Rica and lives there.
Hence Magath calls Puerto Rico his "second home".

Another thing that I'm noticing that I'm not really liking is the fact that a majority of the news seems to be about Magath this summer. There is a definate problem there because we lost two vital players in Ballack and Ze Roberto, and we lost a vital substitute/starter in Lizarazu yet instead of trying to add midfielders all there is Magath wanting to coach in Premiership, and Magath being invited to coach Puerto Rico and Magath thinks this, and Magath thinks that...blah, blah, blah. Hopefully if Magath does go to Premiership one day its not to Tottenham or Liverpool.

Well, it isn't Magath deciding we don't need replacements for key players who've moved on. Maybe that's the reason why he eyes other jobs longingly.

it is always surprising how such a bullshit story is blown up by the media

Im beginning to think Magath is off his rocker, as well! (http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/news/news/2006/08744.php?fcb_sid=f1cff387cb616da4539771213f596bf2)

what the hell is going on in his head?

right after the liga pokal final, he admitted that werder bremen were 'co-favourites' for the bundesliga!

yet, here, during this vote where you are allowed to name more than one team as a favourite for the title, he elects to nominate only bayern!
bullish attitude, you say? thats a positive you add?

well, let me go ahead and explain the degree of confusion in this mans head and burst your bubble -

he adds at the end that he is happy the board has lowered their expectations from previous years...

hmmm...
