here's the story with the chick from last night-

I've been chatting with her online for a few weeks, but I haven't met her yet. She invited me out a week or so ago, but I declined, mainly because I was a little bit nervous to meet up with her. :o

So last night I was chatting with her about this and that when she said "I've got to get in the shower before I go to the bar with my neighbor. You should come have a beer with us if you're in the area later." I figured, what the hell, why not? I asked when she was planning on being there, but she had already signed off.

It was an hour and a half later when I got there. I kind of assumed that they'd be there, since she was getting ready that much earlier. Of course, I found out late last night that she got there about ten minutes after I left. Crap. Last night proved that I need to be a bit more patient.

She seems interesting enough. The shocker is that she's actually my age, which hopefully means that she's halfway mature. She's an english teacher too, so if things go a certain direction, I can fulfill that life long dream of hooking up with a teacher. :D

I couldn't imagine being with a person that takes three months off a year while I kept working my ass off at the office.

I'll have to ask AFLette someday how she manages.

I have another credo I used to go by back in my drinking days,:

Always puke in someone else's car.

She should write a book about that. :D

On tape.
I've never listened to a book on tape. I think I'd lose focus.

So, in MArch, after my hockey team broke up, a guy ona rival team asked me to play for his team. "We probably won't win a game, but it'll be fun, and it'll be good exercise."

We just completed an undefeated saeason.

This is just my opinion, so...the bricks are already made, like patio pavers basically. You just prep the ground, place the bricks, sand them into place, and you're done. With concrete you have to form the "landing" for lack of a better term, color the concrete, place the concrete, stamp the concrete, and let it set. I've seen too many contractors jack up the stamping step, usually smearing a couple truncated domes (that is what the bumps are called) so they're not domes but bumps.

Again, bricks over concrete is just my opinion.

No, that makes sense. If taking the contractors out of the equation produces a better product, then you're totally right. Anyway, having them done prefab somewhere seems more efficient even if the contractors are doing a great job.

OK, I put this together to amuse myself after looking at so much corporate stuff lately. I have been assured it's good, so I post it here for your enjoyment.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the D Request Form:

I found an artist that - and I know this sounds like an impossibillity - is actually worse than Rhothko.

Sean Scully.

Holy sweet freakin' god is he ever the worst "artist" I have ever seen in my life.

Just googled him. They're both so bad that I'm really not qualified to say which one is worse. They both should have their hands cut off, so that they can never paint again.

Running water, clever conversation, IQs in the double didgits, capable drivers, indoor plumbing, general knowlege of how the Civil War actually ended...

Dammit, Huss!

I like some of Rothko's stuff. That Scully guy's stuff is bad though.
