The coinstars now do commission-free iTunes gift certificates.

That's enough for me to stop spending coins.
I just pay the 8% and get cash. My time's more valuable than that.

So I'm watching the Barcelona-Chivas Sr. game on FSC.

You know, MLS shirts need to be SO much more like the Chivas shirts, with the "BIMBO" logo on them, and less like the far-too-plain Barcelona shirts.

I hate soccer fans sometimes.

Pipe down.

(But it does have Dr. Pepper in it.)

I actually like Dr. Pepper. In fact, if a restaurant has it, that is what I will usually drink. Diet Dr. Pepper is also good.

A few minutes ago, the sprinklers went off at the Colisseum for no apparent reason and Max Bretos said that they were "working the kinks out."

The stadium was built for the 1932 Olympics, Max.

but i was tempted to start a thread/poll in MLS General this afternoon. maybe tomorrow if work isn't too busy. something to the affect of "If MLS were to put sponsors on the front of the jersey, would you...

A) Spend more on MLS products
B) Spend less on MLS products
C) Spend about the same on MLS products
D) Kill all Eurosnobs.

And make it a public poll.

It's a good idea, but I've got a the whole "I'm a moderator there" problem implementing it.

i just want the old crew jerseys back when they just had the shield in the middle of the upper chest, below the adidas logo. that was nice. a dorky "columbus crew" across the middle is not.

Offside or not, the statement "Take a look at where the payers are when they receive [the ball]" is an absolutely retarded statement.

I'm always about spending all of my change. So this whole concept of "having a ton of change in your pocket" is a bit foreign to me and having a slightly heavier one-dollar or two-dollar coin in my pocket in Canada wasn't exactly a problem for me since I would have very many of them anyway.

But I guess that's because I'm not like NVG and don't mind making the people behind me wait an extra 15 seconds while I go through the very small amount of change in my pocket.

Exactly.

You and I are both really cheap, too. I wonder if there's a correlation between being cheap and spending one's change?

Didn't know that.

Watching this Barcelona/chicas guadalajara match on FSC and I see an ad for FSC's mexican league coverage.

Hold up.

They ditched the Bundesliga, Le Championnat, etc for the mexican league? Those damn matches put me to sleep whenever I try to watch them on univision/telefutura/etc.

Sheesh.

I've never used Coinstar. They're a local company, so we've had the damn things forever, but it's never occured to me to use them, for some reason.

I have a ton of change, though. Perhaps I should.

Now?

Last two weeks it has been more unbearable than ever. And now that BigSoccer is linked from MLSnet, I assume that it will get just worse.

See, I don't think the fact that there are MORE idiots means that the idiocy is any more idiotic. It's just spread out over more posters.

I've found it intolerable for years...

The other option is to hand-roll them.

That might be worth the percentage. Takes forever. Seems like a service to me.
