It's definitely easier to pull a wallet out and open it instead of fumbling through a handful of change.
Yeah, plus every time you pull your wallet out, you know that your lower bills are in the front and the bigger ones in the back. So it's just always right there in front of you.

there was no fumbling, though. thats where i am not making a connection. especially in england. pound coins are super easially disgtinguised from the rest.

Really just the Coke machine in the break room.
I probably need to drink less soda.

They are, but if I've already been out and about all day in England, I have all sorts of coins in my pocket. More than likely, more coins than I'd even be able to fit in one handful. The coins I pull out of my pocket might not be sufficient, so I then have to dig some more, hold up a line, piss people off, etc. etc.
so the rissoto in a bag i bought was already seasoned (i didn't realize)
and i added 2 cups of chicken stock to it
so i've got a 2000mg bowl of risotto calling out to me.
oh boy
Are you talking about sodium here?

Sales tax holidays rock, especially if you live in an area with an 8.25% sales tax.
Or 9%.

thats just really poor coin management there. granted, i never really bought much outside of bars, but i never had a huge handfull of coins.

You know, when I was in London, I met people that really did think that dollar and two dollar coins were better than paper money.
Like what do you even say to people like that? I just looked at them like they were aliens.
Coins are the gay.

Maybe I just spend a shitload of money when I go over then.
I'll have to practice my coin management. Thanks for the heads up. :D

Not only that, but they're coins. Coins are generally inconsequential. When I was in the Azores for two weeks, I just kept change on my nightstand, just like I toss change into a bucket here at home. After two weeks, it was time to go, and I had like $50 in coins. It was ridiculous.
It took me a week ro realize how much money I was wasting in New Zealand because it was "just change."
