I cant believe nobody has even started a thread about tomorrows game. Personally, i would rather see the real Chivas team playing in this game, league play should be the most important thing for them. Chivas need 3 points to start it off right, they took too long last time to get it going and it cost them. Hopefully there wont be a repeat of that. As it is, i think they will be lucky to tie. Hopefully im wrong and they win against Toluca, but with the focusing seeming to be on Barcalona i dont see that happening. Your thoughts?

Toluca is one of the strongest teams in the Mexican League. Did you see Toluca in Campeon de Campeones against Pachuca? They played great football. They have order, offense, defense, and they are very intelligent. This is going to be a difficult game. However, I am hopeful of Chivas young team. They are going to sweat the jersey and leave everything on the field. There are many outstanding players in this list. Luis Michel the goalkeeper had a great performance in la Liguilla. Strong central defenders like Hector Reynoso, Antonio Patlan, and Roberto "Russo" Rivera. Excellent laterales like Esparza and Pineda. Patricio Araujo in front of the defenders. El "gaucho" Avila eluding midfielders to send passes to Edwin Borboa and Alberto Medina. I look forward to watching Avila, Borboa, and Medina creating many great plays and goals. About the other players in the list I would like to know more information about them. The game tomorrow will provide a great panorama for us Chivistas to watch these new prospects. The game is going to be very interesting. Like always, expect many Chivistas in Toluca shouting Chivas! Chivas! Chivas! The last time I saw Chivas in Toluca two seasons ago, the Chivas fans were the overwhelming majority in the stands. Arriba las Chivas!

Indeed, priority should be el torneo. But it is our centenario game,i guess and the fact that toluca agreed to change the date and then backed out kinda makes this about principle or something like that i suppose...

...this is a real hard game for us. Cant remember the last time Chivas beat Toluca in a regular season game :(. i believe it was 2001 and that was en el Jalisco, so i think a victory is due. :D

Posible Subs

I predict a 2-2 game...good result for Chivas considering they haven't won in Toluca since 2004...

I'm afraid to reveal results, but we couldn't string more than 2 consecutive passes against Toluca

It was to be expected though, given the lineup and the opponent. Hopefully tonights game will be a different story.

even though we lost to Toluca i think the Tapatios played well.

I agree with panda loca, Medina will get better and better as the season runs its course. I did not understand Chepo taking Avila and Borboa out of the game. Once those two were gone, the offense disappeared. Perhaps he wanted to give a chance to the other youngsters. On other note, we are sending too many innacurate long balls rather than playing with short passes on the ground. I hope this changes quickly because it is not our tradition to play that way.
