Do you think Michael Schumacher can pull this comeback off? or better still do you see a DNF in Alonso's future?

I was extremely upset at the decision in Monaco, because at that point it looked like they decided on a winner. I mean the actions of Schumi looked a bit dodgy, but not entirely and blatantly intentional. I mean cars were able to get by still, it wasn't as if he lodged it in the way of the entire track. But regardless of that or not, the consequences of the decision should have played more into the decision. If Schumi was left on pole, and Alonso 2nd, Schumi only gains 2 points off of what was then a 17 point lead. By putting Alonso on pole, and sending Schumi all the way to the back (and likely out of the points) it was awarding Alosno a 10 point gap... almost entirely deciding the season. Fortunately Schumi took points, and was able to salvage the race, and thus the season. However, the gap seemed an impossible 22 points.

Now as we look at it, Schumi with a few wins in a row, and Alonso finishing back a bit in the pack recently, the lead has been knocked down to 11 points with 6 races remaining..

The break he needed may have just come. Both Schumacher and Alonso both failed to make the 3rd qualifying round for the Grand Prix of Hungary. Schumi is in 12th, while Alonso is in 15th. Although starting back in the pack anything could happen, including one or both getting involved in wrecks, if both Schumacher and Alonso make up 7/8 spots, it is logical Schumi could take home 5 points to Alonso's none. This would drop the lead down to 6 points with 5 races remaining.

It would also make the difference the the 7 point swing of Monaco (5 points gained by Alonso on Schumi, and the 2 points Schumi would have gained on Alonso had he been left on pole). This difference still might end up costing Schumacher the season.

However, the question remains, is this a race for the season title, and can Schumacher do it, or has Alonso built up too far of a lead?
