I am first ... :)
Welcome to a new season for the Bundesliga in general and the BVB in particular. If the Pre-Season is evidence of how good the team truly is, we have a bright future ... out of 10 Friendlies we won 7 and had 3 draws .. but now the dices will be rolled again. Pre Season was yesterday ... Bayern is tomorrow (metaphorically spoken)
Our opponent Bayern had just lost the League cup final ... what do you think? Will we at least get a point in Munich?

Our pre-season was very disapointing.
We only beat a bunch of small local clubs.
I think BVB has a good chance against us this season.

By the way ... we had a draw against Tottenham and were the first team to steal a point from them in Pre Season (if you would say a victory would be 3 and a draw 1 point)
They even beat Inter Mailand 2:1

Hey man! What you are seeing from Bayern is exactly what we discussed over at the Bayern boards.
They didn't buy the right people this off-season and wasted too much time and money screwing around with van Buyten and RvN when they should have been trying to buy a successor for Ballack. Did you see how Klose and Klasnic ABUSED van Buyten in the League Cup final??
Valdez and Frei aren't as fluid with one another as Klose and Klasnic are, but they will give Lucio and van Buyten plenty of anxious moments on Friday night........

And in the end, it means absolutely nothing.
One thing I did learn from being at the Tottenham match is that we are still going to have problems with speedy teams.
Our defense is still just too damned slow. I think Brzenska, who will almost certainly play for Woerns the first two matches, runs like a f#cking 150 year old turtle.
The good thing about that is, I think the only top teams in the BL who I feel can be classified as "speedy" are Werder Bremen and HSV.

hey guys, will I be able to watch this match on PP live? If so, what time is it on on Friday? I'm in Ireland, so I think I'm either an hour ahead or behind germany

You are an hour behind. I think the only way you have a chance to see the match on conventional TV is to check Setanta Ireland and see if they have it on.
However, football from the continent is not popular in Ireland. I doubt it will even be on their version of Setanta.
I don't see it anywhere, but you can check here Setanta Ireland Homepage (http://www.setanta.com/ie)
I did see on the Setanta Great Britain site that they have 7:30 to 9:30 PM blocked for a live event. I think that's the match. If you can find a bar that has Setanta GB, you might be in luck.
I thought I saw in a later message that you have access to PPLive? I don't have a schedule, but I'm almost certain the Bundesliga opening match will be carried on CCTV5.

We have a chance, but I think if we win, it'll be more like 3-2 or 4-3. I think our central defense will give up at least two goals.
I don't have a lot of confidence in Brzenska playing with Metzelder.
They weren't good together against Spurs.
Besides that, I just don't have a lot of confidence in Brzenska period. I just don't see why so many are enamored with him.
But he does play better with Woerns than with Metzelder. I think Woerns tells him what to do.
Sort of like what Metzelder used to do with Madouni and what Kohler did with Metzelder in Metze's first season.
We can win, but we'll have to go at Bayern hard and show them from the start that we are not afraid of them.

Don't get your hopes up Achtung. Dortmund has a very good chance to pull off a good scoreline against Bayern but then again it's at the Alinz Arena. Bayern rarely lose, maybe a draw.

That doesn't mean a thing. Streaks are always broken.

Hoping for a draw. Got that in the last match last season, so might as well keep with it.
