Besides, I don't hear anyone complaining about Valdez's constant diving and complaining.....

Yeah we should be complaining about the foul on Valdez that somehow was not "seen" which led to the Piggy goal.

What diving are you talking about?

Its true ... you americans can't see it because you live in capitalism but Bayern owns the league ... they are the JUVE of Germany

What does America being a capitalist nation have to do with me believing or not believing that the referee was bought off? Bayern finished their chances today and we didn't. It's as simple as that. Better luck to us next time.

The only problem Alexander Frei has is what happened tonight: He shoots on the post way too much during the regular season:rolleyes:

Just look at the World Cup: 4 games played and shot on the post twice

I am kind of kidding but not really...the only difference is that usually he scores a goal and then shoots on the post or vice versa.

I didn't see the game so won't comment on this incident, but stating that Bayern are paying off all referees is maybe a tad over the top....

Thank you.

And on the related note of the harsh challenge: yes, it was easily a bookable offense. Studs up right into Kehl's leg. Awful, awful tackle.

If I was the ref I wouldnt have given Hassan a card either. Why? Both players went in hard and an injury could have happened to either player really. Kehls bravery was rewarded with an injury.

Kringe was freakin horrible today. And Degen was a piece of shit today too. One of the few times where you see a player get subbed in and then get subbed out without an injury. (sahin)

Give it a rest.......Brazzo and Kehl both went in the same way, shame Kehl came out of it with an injury.

Na, Brazzo went in with the leg outstretched, Kehl did not. I think Brazzo intended to harm Kehl and he succeeded.

Nevertheless there is no doubt that Bayern was the far better team tonight and deserved the win.
Pienaar was completely useless, but I hope he just has problems to adept to the style of play as a newbie. Sahin had a bad day, too. And the defense was a mess without Wörns.
Valdez and Frei especially did quite well this evening, according to the circumstances (very few support from the midfield).

All in all there is some serious work on the team to be done for van Marwijk.

Don't be so hard on Pienaar. I just finished watching the game and he was muscled around quite a bit by the bigger players on the other team. He did what he could, and he made some smart plays, that didn't result with goals because of poor finishing.

I agree about Sahin and the defense though. Metzelder showed class, but Brzenska looked like he had absolutely no idea what to do out there.

Stop the bullshit man. "You Americans". THIS American already knows more about the game, BVB and Bayern than you ever will!

The referee blew that call. I agree that Salihamidic should have at least seen yellow.

However, from what I saw, the referee simply missed it!

Yes, I am one who thinks Bayern has influence over the referees, but that wasn't what beat us on Friday.

Bayern BEAT us on Friday! Nothing more, nothing less. We had chances, but we didn't take them. They took two of theirs and that's why we lost.

Stop f#cking crying man!

Bayern had something to prove and they did! Even though our defense played like shit and Pienaar was invisible, we still had our chances to at least take a point and we didn't convert!

The team has no one to blame but themselves. They shit their pants in the spotlight once again.

But there were good scenes. I am not discouraged. We'll be better once Pienaar gets over the nervousness and Wörns returns.

I thought Metze and Brzenska would be crap and they were.......

That's the best I've seen on it. I think Salihamidic should have at least seen yellow. I think the ref just missed it or saw it was both players going in the same way.

Funny. I didn't see Kehl go in with both feet and studs up......

Dude, that is a serious cause for concern. If the other teams see they can take Pienaar out of a match by pushing him around, they will all do it. I thought Pienaar was invisible myself.

I thought BOTH Metzelder and Brzenska were crap. Just goes to show what Christian Wörns means to this team.

Dude, sometimes you have to ignore "HeyaBVB". He loses his f#cking mind when BVB loses.

You know I think Bayern has influence over referees, especially at home, but that had nothing to do with Friday night.

We played with you guys despite our handicaps and had our chances to score. You guys took two of your chances. We blew all of ours. You win. Simple as that to me.

My new signature will soon be:

EBI SMOLAREK SUCKS!!!

I hope we do sell his ass at the winter break.

And I do think BvM waited too long to put Odonkor in.

Right on. I don't know what the hell he's talking about either.

We saw two different things then. I saw one player go in properly. I saw the other go in with both feet and studs up.

Maybe I had the SchwarzGelb glasses on, but that's what I took from it.

And now we've lost Kehl for up to a month.

Kringe was freakin horrible today.

Agree.

And Degen was a piece of shit today too.

I think Degen was caught in the middle. He didn't know whether to go forward and attack, like he did against Spurs, or stay back and try to quell the Bayern attack. He was all twisted. I rarely criticize BvM, but Degen looked like a player who really didn't know what he should be doing and that's coaching.

One of the few times where you see a player get subbed in and then get subbed out without an injury. (sahin)

He was pretty bad. It's like many of them were intimidated by their surroundings.

Or maybe they thought the ref was paid off! LOL!! :)

We joked about that earlier this week on the list. However, except for the Salihamidic/Kehl challenge and the missed foul on Valdez, leading to the Schweinsteiger goal, I have no complaints.

We had our chances and we just didn't take them.

As far as I am concerned, this one is on the team.........

But as I said before, I am not discouraged, I saw lots of potential there. The goals just didn't come and Kong made some pretty good saves.

This team will be OK. And we'll take Bayern at the Westfalenstadion.

Look on the bright side! At least Scheisse only played 1-1 at home yesterday with freakin Frankfurt!! :D

Germany midfielder Kehl to be out for four weeks for injury

Germany midfielder Sebastian Kehl will be out for three to four weeks after injuring himself during Borussia Dortmund's opening German first division match at Bayern Munich on Friday.

Kehl received a gaping flesh wound in a tackle with Bayern's Hasan Salihamidzic during the 2-0 defeat and underwent a one-hour operation during the game in a Munich hospital.

Dortmund team doctor Markus Braun said that dirt and grass had entered through the deep wound of the 26-year-old. Braun, who accompanied Kehl to hospital, said that Kehl would probably be fit in three to four weeks. Kehl will spend a few days in a clinic in Duisburg.

As posted in the Mainz - BVB thread:

Its not too bad.. almost the best news we could have hope for. The bundesliga stays in schedule for the next two weeks, so he will miss those games for sure. But then it takes a 2 week break I think and that should be enough to get him back.

I agree, but that was his bundesliga debut. Hopefully, as time goes on, the referees will see that the other players are targeting him and crack down on it. A good example of that happening is Jarolim. Nearly every time he goes down a foul is called. Hopefully the same will happen with Pienaar, so other players wont be able to take advantage of his size without fouls being called.
I thought BOTH Metzelder and Brzenska were crap. Just goes to show what Christian Wörns means to this team.
I'll bet I did not pay as close attention to the performance of the individual players as you did, so you're probably right about Metzelder. I noticed slack marking all over the game, but i never attributed it to one player, except on Schweinsteiger's goal, where Metzelder and co. were content to watch Lahm dribble down the side instead of marking Schweini.

But for me it was hard not to notice Brzenska completely screwing up.

Also, what the heck was Cmetze thinking in the first 30 seconds when he gave all that free space to makaay for him to be able to turn and hit our post? A player like him should not make "rookie" mistakes like these. Almost every game I watch from Metzelder, I notice at least one of these "rookie" mistakes. I dont know what it is... maybe he is and was never as good as we made him out to be?
