Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has stoked the fire - as if it needs stoking - claiming that he will be 'interested' to see if Arsenal can fill their 60 000 seater new Emirates stadium if they hit 'bad spell'.
Sir Alex turned up the heat in the constant war of words with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by saying:
"I won`t miss Highbury. I think it was a run-down stadium. The pitch was too small for top-class football teams and I think it helped Arsenal in Europe in particular.'
'Moving to a better stadium will help them in the sense that the games will be better and there will be more room to play. It will be interesting to see what happens when they hit a little bit of a bad spell, whether they`ll still be able to get 60,000 through the gates.'

Run down? Oh dear you senial fool. Highbury was one of the most clean stadiums in the country... and it didn't smell of piss, unlike OT did when I was there. The changing rooms were excellent and always ahead of their time in terms of being kept up to date. The concourses were physically accessible for the fans unlike at OT where trying to get your half time burger (or bottle of whisky in red noses case) was a futile task. No wonder OT smells of piss if you cant go for a Jimmy Riddle at HT because you cant move. The Art Deco east stand was one of the most beautiful sites in football, unlike the plastic, generic, concrete jungle that Utd play in. As for filling it up at AG, we could of sold out twice over for DB10's testimonial. Our first game of the season (Aston Villa) sold out in 20 mins of going on sale to red members. When we played at Wembley (a similar concrete jungle that smelt of piss, just like OT), our lowest attendance was 71,500 against AIK Solna. Man UTds first 2-3 games with a possible 70,000+ attendance didn't get near that mark... and Utd were playing well at that time. Arsenal's season ticket list has been cut down to 30,000 with AG opening, whilst getting a season ticket at Man Utd couldn't be easier due to lack of intrest.
