According to the Borussia Dortmund website the game will be streamed live on their site.

http://www.bvb.de

Open to everyone, so log on there in 2 1/2 hrs from now and Bob's your mothers brother.

I thought this deserved a new thread because otherwise it'd get lost in the mix. Feel free to delete afterwards.

I'm quite sure that the stream won't work 'cause of overstressing. ;)

Is there something I am missing regarding getting this stream to work? I don't speak German, so maybe I am missing something in the instructions. is there something other than letting it load and clicking on the play button?

they won't let you in now anymore. You had to be there before 15.30 and need WMP 10.

Those detained included seven Germans, two British men and one man from the Netherlands. Police said they were only able to end the brawl with heavy reinforcements, from both the Dortmund police and federal police

What was a dutchman doing their? Maybe a Feyenoord fan?

What ever happened, lets just say the Germans started it.

A few of the folks on COYS were there, one actually had to go to the hospital. He said it wasn't Dortmund fans at all - most of them were hanging around with Spurs fans quite peacefully. It was a group of neo-nazis who came and started the whole thing - sounded like the Dortmund and Spurs fans were mostly on the same side, that is being attacked by the skinheads.

Yep, the news report is wrong. The fans were drinking together and had to defend themselves from others.

The report makes it sound like fan vs fan, when it was not like that at all.

Glad Berbatov scored. I bet he was desperate to get on the ol' scoresheet against German opposition.

I was in that bar that night (together with footyfan1 from the bigsoccer board and two other friends).

We were drinking and having fun with the Tottenham guys when some German idiots on their way from downtown to Dortmund central station started provocations directed to Spurs supporters. As the Irish pub beergarden is some metres elevated direct fighting didn't start immediately but after a while the idiots downstairs started to throw bottles and small stones. The English guys weren't that happy with that and answered with plastics chairs, wooden banks and plastics tables. Those German guys (not wearing any club's colours but probably also not Neonazis) didn't stop to provocate and throwing things so that some English supporters made their way down to the pavement and direct fighting started. After a while police arrived and got things under control pretty fast. Unluckily all of the about 300 people in the bar weren't allowed to leave until police had sorted out things. Then everybody had to show his ID card and they pinned down name, address, phone number, birth date etc.

But as said, the English supporters were having fun and drinking with us until those German idiots started trouble. Though I must admit that I can understand that you don't like to be hit by a bottle the Spurs supporters maybe overreacted or were too easy to arouse. I myself went into the pub's inside when the trouble started.

...from a Spurs site most of us go on a few of the posters were at the bar and said that these other german's were hoolies from Essen? and the Dortmund and Tottenham fans kicked off with them lot. One of the fans was kicked in the head and thinks he may have broken his cheek bone, after he dived on a Yiddo who was getting the shit kicked out of him. Supposed most the Tottenham who confronted them were faces from the old times.
